The Adaptive Training Foundation was founded to provide individuals with physical impairments the
proper facility and training necessary to achieve their health goals. The founder David Vobora and his
team use modified training programs that utilize body weight exercises and sophisticated weight training
equipment to achieve weight loss, increase mobility, or to increase strength.

Assist the Officer Foundation’s mission is to provide peace of mind to Dallas’ men and women in blue
and their families. ATO provides financial assistance to officers who are facing the loss of income due to
a serious injury, life-threatening illness or other catastrophic event. Immediate assistance is also available
to an officer’s family in the event of the death of an active officer.

Attitudes & Attire® is a non-profit agency dedicated to promoting personal growth for women seeking self-sufficiency. Our program provides the tools that raise self-esteem, promote ethics and build the confidence necessary
to develop successful life skills. As a complement to our core program, we offer seminars exclusively for female
veterans. Boots to Heels gives women who have served in the military the camaraderie of being with peers who
understand the challenges they face when returning home. We provide a three-part program to help in their journey toward self-sufficiency and stability in civilian life.

For more than 30 years, Austin Street Center has been serving the homeless population of Dallas. Our
Veterans program includes extensive work readiness assistance and training, a resource center/computer lab, financial literacy training, a transitional housing program, assistance in preparing for and obtaining
housing, and aftercare services. Our clients have access to on-site substance abuse support, mental
health diagnosis and treatment, minor physical health care, and vision care and eyeglasses. We are
committed to helping our Veterans who are experiencing homelessness make a smooth and permanent
transition out of homelessness.

Building Homes for Heroes® is strongly committed to rebuilding lives and supporting the brave men and
women who were injured while serving the country during the time of the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. The
organization builds or modifies homes, and gifts them, mortgage-free, to veterans and their families. It’s

Equest Hooves for Heroes strengthens our community by leveraging the power of the horse to help
veterans/service members/first responders and their family members achieve optimum wellness. The
Hooves for Heroes program is a subset of Equest, a 501(c)3 nonprofit incorporated in 1981. Equest’s
mission is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs using horses to bring
hope and healing through equine assisted activities and therapies.

Gratitude Initiative (GI) is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit that provides essential education programs
and college scholarships to military and veteran kids around the globe. GI works with children and families of our active duty military members, veterans, disabled veterans, and those killed in defense of our

and programs proven to put young people on the path to educational and career success.

Heroes on the Water helps active-duty and veterans of the U.S. armed forces get back to life after military
service. Through peaceful kayak fishing trips, they can decompress, reconnect, and find a place to belongboth on and off the water. With 54 chapters in 27 states hosting recurring events, Heroes on the Water is
helping to heal mental and physical scars of the men and women who serve our country at no cost to them.

Our mission is to provide the most effective therapeutic recreation services to military families confronted
with traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, military sexual trauma and polytrauma through the use
of evidence based practices and the sustained continuum of care necessary for a successful reintegration
into their families and communities. Higher Ground hosts weeklong camps for injured service members,
veterans and their supporters, each completely free of charge to all participants. The goal for forming this
new “unit” is to optimize cohesiveness among service members, and set participants up for individual and
group success

Firefighters and families helping firefighters and families. The Todd Krodle Foundation is set up to assist and
continue the tradition of firefighters helping each other and our families in times of need or distress. Reaching
out to others in a time of need is the Foundations way of continuing the legacy left by Lt Todd Krodle. Family
is a high priority. Once a fireman, always family.
The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation
The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation (MC-LEF) provides educational assistance to the children of fallen United States Marines and federal law enforcement personnel. Since our founding in 1995,
MC-LEF has awarded over $63 million in scholarships and other humanitarian assistance, and supported
over 3,500 children.

Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to honor America’s fallen firefighters. Our mission is to honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes and to provide
resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives and work within the fire service community to
