The transmitters come in a ODU (out door unit) assembly of minimum size for customers designing their own satellite transceivers. They convert a 950-1450 MHz IF input signal into a 14.0 to 14.5 GHz output signal via a waveguide interface. The CTR-145030 output power offers a minimum of 30 dBm (@ 1dB gain compression point) under all input electrical and environmental conditions. At the normal operating output power of 28.5 dBm, the spectral regrowth is better than -26 dBc. The device draws a maximum DC current of 2.0 amps (1.5 amps Typ.) at +13 volts at the input of the Fconnector. The ODU includes a complete printed circuit assembly (PCA) containing a four-function assembly comprised of: 1.) triplexer - LO/Ref., IF & DC separation; 2.) IF signal amplification and gain temperature compensation; 3.) LO/Ref. signal amplification and; 4.) High efficiency DC to DC converter. The unobtrusive module is weather-sealed, weighs only 2.3 pounds and is designed to mount directly to the feed assembly – without additional bracketing or supports.
