PLASTER PROFILES AND ACCESSORIES PLASTER PROFILES AND ACCESSORIES PLASTER PROFILES AND ACCESSORIES 2 MASTERPLAST GROUP INTERNATIONAL MASTERPLAST GROUP INTERNATIONAL 3 PLASTER PROFILES AND ACCESSORIES FOR PLASTERING AND CONCRETING GENERAL INTRODUCTION Plaster profiles Application Plaster profiles and accessories applicable during the process of plastering are essential materials in the economical construction of traditional cement, lime and gypsum plasters, since their use plays an important role in the satisfaction of demands and requirements made on plasters, while the great variety of materials and sizes also facilitates their application in many areas. Compatibility: Galvanized steel profiles (only with protective tiling in humid spaces): applicable to cement, lime-cement and lime plasters Aluminium and PVC profiles: in gypsum and in rendering of external thermal insulation systems Method of installation: Installing the profiles is simple. In case of traditional lime and cement plasters, the galvanized steel edge plaster profiles are to be fixed and levelled with the help of profile fixing mortar (both for interior and exterior use). After that, beads are set up with the help of strings stretched between the edge profiles. The window connecting profile must be installed at the jointing point of the plaster and the window or door frame. In case of gypsum-based plasters, the fastening of the profiles can be performed with the plastering material, but in exterior or in humid rooms – where lime-cement plaster is applied – gypsum-based materials must not be used for profile attachment. We provide a wide selection of the higher-priced and higher-quality Protektor products, a leading company in the manufacturing of plaster profiles (mesh accessories of heat insulation systems for façades, edge plaster profiles for interior and exterior use, as well as base-, base extension-, plaster finishing-, and dilatation profiles). Accessories for plaster and concrete works Profile fixing mortar is a powder mix available in bags which serves for the fastening of the plaster profiles. The metal mesh and glass fibre mesh (so called rabitz-meshes) are also proper for the reinforcement of traditional plasters, while also increasing their strength and reducing the extent of shrinkage cracks. Internal fiberglass mesh also fulfils these requirements, embedded in the finishing layer of internal plastering. MASTERPOL lime substitute additive when given to the mortar makes the mixture easy to shape without the application of lime and reduces the quantity of the required mixing water. MASTERFROST set accelerating admixture for concrete and mortar ensures that the concrete sets without damaging in cold weather, up to a (–) 5°C air temperature, along with the necessary thickness and safety actions. It is also advisable to use MASTERFIBER fibre additive made of polypropylene to water-setting building materials, since these, when added to different kinds of mortar and concrete, improves the mechanical properties of those. Icons Advantages: With the application of these profiles, approx. 20-30% of the quantity of plaster can be saved, since the With the application of these profiles, approx. 20-30% of the quantity of plaster can be saved, since the desired plaster thickness can be exactly adjusted, applying less material reduces costs, shortens the time of construction and at the same time accelerates the drying of the plaster layer. They provide protection at the most vulnerable points of the thin plaster layer, along corners and edges, while making possible the proper finishing of plastered surfaces, and when connecting to other materials – e.g. door and window frames – they provide a watertight and cracking-free connection, and the necessary dilatation for broad surfaces. Some good advice The galvanized steel profiles must not be cutted by an angle-grinder because the zinc layer can easily damaged, which results in the corrosion of the profiles.
