Table KS10 Hours worked*
Key Statistics for Birmingham 2006 Districts and 2004 Wards.*
Key Statistics provide headline results about the main Census topics and facilitate comparisons between different areas.
The dataset contains around 380 statistics for each area. The districts are those in place at 23rd May 2006.
* Best Fit Approximations issued by the Office for National Statistics in December 2004
Results for new wards are based on allocation of whole Census Output Areas.
Data for any Census Output Area that is split by a new ward boundary are allocated to the ward that contains the greatest
share of its population.
For reasons of confidentiality, National Statistics have altered the published results where very small numbers of people in
an area fall into any of the categories in a table (e.g. persons in a Birmingham ward working in the fishing industry). This
means that:
- Population and household totals may vary among tables
- Published figures for a larger area may not match the sum of results for its smaller constituent parts.
