Fourth of July parades have been an annual tradition
here in the Northland area for 50 years, starting in
Forest Park in 1963. This year’s Independence Day
Parade is the 51st annual parade and we anticipate a
flyover of military aircraft, marching bands, police, fire
and other emergency vehicles, floats, and entries from
a variety of communities and organizations throughout
Northland and surrounding areas.

with food, beverages and prize drawings. And if you’re

As it has for several years, the 2013 Parade will start
near the intersection of Morse and Karl Roads at 11:00
AM on Thursday, July 4, and travel 1.7 miles north on
Karl Road to its intersection with East Dublin-Granville
Road (RT. 161). The last entry should complete the route
about 12:30 PM. Columbus Square Shopping Center
is proud to be the major sponsor of this great Fourth of

Immediately after the end of the parade, Columbus
Square Shopping Center is sponsoring their 4th Annual
Classic Car Show along the Cleveland Avenue side
of the shopping center. Gates open at 12 noon for
registration and free admission for spectators. Each
of the past three shows have had over 100 vehicles to
view, with colorful customs and restored cars, trucks
We’re excited to announce that THE EYES OF
FREEDOM: LIMA COMPANY MEMORIAL Traveling
Outdoor Display will be at the Car Show on July 4.
This is the first public showing in this region of the
traveling display, and we expect that the lines to view
this inspiring memorial will be long. A portion of the car
show proceeds will be donated to the Lima Company
Memorial, and donations will also be accepted at the
show. Don’t miss this patriotic event!
