Key Features and Benefits:
• Adaptive code filtering rejects infrared sequences
not considered a legitimate command seriously
improving response times and reliability.
• Ultra-wide bandwidth with automatic error correction
allows full control of all new satellite and cable boxes.
•Kits include everything needed for installation.
•Superior noise suppression technology ensures
reliable operation, longer remote battery life with
greater distance performance with any room lighting,
including CFL’s.
•Infrared modulation bandwidth 25-65 kHz.
•Standard reception range: up to 100 feet (30 m)
(depending on remote control output and ambient
lighting conditions).
Infrared repeating more reliable than ever thought possible...
Infrared repeater systems are used primarily for two reasons:
1. To hide components in a cupboard or cabinet and control these components with
a remote control when the cabinet doors are closed.
2. To allow the use of an infrared remote control in one room to control components
in another room.
Our latest version work great with all difficult to control cable and satellite receivers
(dvrs and pvrs). If there is an infrared repeater problem and Knoll can't fix it, you
won't find a brand that will.
Knoll Systems makes a complete line of high-quality audio and
video products. Knoll Systems is known for its technical firsts
and award winning amplifiers, infrared repeaters, volume
controls and video projectors.
Knoll Systems amplifiers and projectors, along with an extensive
line of home theater and custom installation products, offer
performance and value that is unmatched worldwide.

Knoll's huge "piece of mind" technical advantages are:
1. Adaptive code filtering. This process is brand new and it runs a very fast analysis
of the incoming signal to establish if it is a real infrared signal. If it is not code
and it’s just noise it gets rejected. If it’s real, it gets processed and repeated. Just
makes for the most reliable and trusted infrared repeater system ever made.
2. Ultra wide bandwidth with automatic error correction. To control todays cable and
satellite boxes, ultra wide bandwidth is critical. If wide bandwidth is not properly
kept in check too much unwanted signal gets thorough and bogs the whole system
down making it practically unusable. Automatic error correction monitors any
incoming signals and unwanted signals outside of the critical 25 kHz to 65 kHz band
are automatically rejected, giving a superior repeater capability when used in
sunlight, with plasma and LCD TV's, infrared burglar alarm systems and especially
with compact fluorescent lighting (CFL's) notorious for screwing up infrared
repeaters.
3. Automatic gain control. Regardless of the incoming infrared signal level the outgoing
signal level is automatically corrected giving the same output when used in direct
sunlight and with weak remote control batteries (makes batteries last longer).
4. Native carrier frequency transmission. If wide bandwidth signals are to be faithfully
reproduced (to work with all cable boxes and satellite boxes) the only way to make IR
repeaters work is to use native carrier frequency transmission. Some brands just strip
off the carrier frequency then with an adjustment add a single carrier frequency back
on. A single carrier does not work with many of the newer cable and satellite boxes as
well as other lower band products like Blu-ray players at the same time.
5. The IR155 connection hub is dimmable. For years installers have struggled placing an
emitter "off-center" in just the right place as its output is too strong and saturates the
component infrared system it is trying to control. Knoll has answered this struggle by
adding a dimmer emitter port. The installer now needs to place the emitter on the
component and dim its output until the component responds properly.
Another Knoll "first"...

Infrared remotes require an unobstructed view between your remote control and the
device it is controlling in order to function as intended. Choose Knoll for the smallest
size infrared receivers (the part you see). For the cleanest looking family room or
home theater TV setup you will want to hide the Blu-ray players, surround sound
receivers and cable boxes inside a cupboard or cabinet which also protects them
from being damaged.
