Press Release Zurich, May 2 nd 2012 Plenum Investments Ltd. to launch PULSAR® product line, adds to Portfolio Management Team Plenum Investments AG, the Swiss asset management boutique specialising in alternative investment strategies, has amalgamated its non-insurance-linked investment solutions into a new ® product line called PULSAR . Dr. Rainer Gruenig, CEO of Plenum Investments: "The split will strengthen our two brand names: While the Plenum brand remains focused exclusively on insurance-linked funds and mandate solutions (ILS), all other alternative and traditional strategies will ® be managed and marketed under the new PULSAR product line." Plenum has enhanced its portfolio management competence for existing and new products by bringing on board the experienced team of Dr. Heiko Bailer and his colleagues Simeon Stoitzev and Simon Otziger. In the same way that the Plenum ILS solutions are geared towards peak risk ® management, the PULSAR product line has a strong risk-oriented investment approach. In 2002, he resumed his doctoral work with support of the Endowment Fund of the University of Washington, for whom he developed key quantitative investment models. In 2005, after receiving his Ph.D., he joined ABN-AMRO’s Delta One Trading Group in London, and in 2007, he moved to Switzerland to begin his role as Deputy Chief Risk Officer at Zurich based Harcourt Investment Consulting AG, a $5 Billion Fund of Hedge Funds. In October 2008, he left Harcourt to co-found PinInvest and to act as the investment manager of the BluePin Fund – a multi-strategy off-shore fund. In 2009, he co-founded Corepoint Capital AG and then served as its chief advisor when he joined Credit Suisse's Private Bank as Head of Quantitative Solutions in May 2010. Since September 2011, he has been fully focused on Corepoint Capital AG as its Chief Investment Officer. He is also an adviser to Pleinert & Partner AG. Dr. Bailer graduated from the University of Munich with a Master’s in Mathematics and Physics, and holds a Ph.D. as well as a certificate of Financial Engineering from the University of Washington. Simeon Stoitzev, CFA, Portfolio Management, Sales After his studies in 2004, Mr. Stoitzev completed the HSBC Private Bank's international graduate program taking on various assignments in New York, Geneva, and Zurich. In 2006, he joined Harcourt Investment Consulting AG as an analyst and advisor to institutional clients. He was promoted in 2007 to manage portfolios covering Asia partially working out of the Hong Kong office. In 2010, he left Harcourt for Unigestion SA in Geneva, where he was responsible for institutional mandates in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. In 2011, he joined Corepoint Capital AG and is responsible for the quantitative long/short equity fund and business development with institutional clients. Mr. Stoitzev graduated with a Master's Degree in Political Economics from the University of Lausanne and is a CFA charter holder.
