CONCEALED LINEAR SYSTEM IN 5 EASY STEPS
1.Measure length of desired run
2. Depending on application, determine socket spacing between
socket centers, i.e.: inch on center “O.C.” spacing
• for cove lighting: use the general rule that the distance in
inches from the wall is equal to the socket spacing: 4" cove/
soffit = 4" O.C. socket spacing.
• for task lighting: when more light is desired on the work
surface, use closer socket spacing (O.C. socket spacing). 3. Select desired lamp and wattage for the application:
• Xenon festoon
• LED
• MR11/MR8
4. Select transformer
• 12V or 24V?
- Keep in mind:
12V = 300W max (short runs)
24V = 600W max (long runs)
- To determine total wattage: number of lamps x
watts/lamp = total wattage of linear run
- Divide total watts by 300W if 12V or 600W
if 24V = number of transformers required (round up)
• Electronic or Magnetic
- both primary and secondary circuited and fused
- Magnetic: Maximum wattage 600W @ 24V on a single load,
multi-tap options. If selecting I.E. Laminated type, keep
within 30' of first socket of run, if selecting Toroidal type,
keep within 60' of first socket of run. Works well with
advanced dimming systems. Bulky and heavy but has high
wattage max (@ 24V), can be run at max wattage load and
can be installed a long distance from the first socket. Best
for far distance installation from run and for long lighting
runs of up to 23' @ 12V, 40' @ 24V with Xenon lamps.

socket spacing of 3 inches, 4 inches or 6 inches and
in spools of 20 feet, 60 feet, 100 feet and 200 feet.
Kits are furnished with sockets pre-attached to the
