DECATUR COUNTY RURAL ELECTRIC MEMBERSHIP CORPORATION GREENSBURG, INDIANA SCHEDULE B-3 SMALL COMMERCIAL ELECTRIC SERVICE Availability Available to all consumers located on or near the Corporation's three phase lines for all types of usage, to consumers who do not require more than 60 kVA of transformer capacity. Type of Service Three phase, 60 cycles, at standard voltages; where service is supplied three phase, transformation will be approximately 480 or 240 volts delta or 120/208 and/or 277/480 wye. Single phase voltage will be furnished at approximately 120/240 volts. Should Customer require a non-standard voltage, Customer shall, at his own expense, furnish and maintain all transformers and protective equipment therefore necessary in order to obtain such non-standard voltage. Monthly Rate Facilities Charge: $15.00 Demand Charge: First 15 kW of Billing Demand per month, at $1.41 per kW Excess above 15 kW of Billing Demand per month at $4.50 per kW Energy Charge: First 1,000 kWh @ $.049211 per kWh Next 2,000 kWh @ $.044711 per kWh Over 3,000 kWh @ $.045211 per kWh Over 150 kWh per kW of Billing Demand @ $.038211 per kWh Determination of Billing Demand The Billing Demand shall be the maximum kilowatt demand established by the consumer for any period of fifteen (15) consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for power factor as provided below. Schedule B-3 Decatur County REMC Page 2 Power Factor Adjustment The consumer agrees to maintain an average unity power factor as near 100% as practicable, but when the average power factor is determined to be less than 93%, the maximum load used for billing shall be determined by multiplying the metered maximum demand by 93% and dividing the product by the measured average power factor. Minimum Monthly Bill The minimum monthly charge for service rendered under this schedule shall be $20.00 where fifteen (15) kVA of transformer capacity or less is required. For members requiring in excess of 15 kVA of transformer capacity, the minimum monthly charge shall be increased at the rate of $1.00 for each additional kVA or fraction thereof required. Temporary Service Temporary service shall be supplied in accordance with the foregoing rate. Bills will not be pro-rated for a fractional part of a month. The member shall in addition pay the total cost of connecting and disconnecting service less the value of materials returned to stock. The Corporation may require a deposit, in advance, of the full amount of the estimated bill for service including the cost of connection and disconnection. Service Provisions 1. The member requesting the original installation of the three phase service shall give satisfactory assurance supported by a written agreement as to the character, amount and duration of the business offered which shall be at least five (5) years. 2. In general, motors having a rated capacity of ten horsepower (10 H.P.) or more must be three phase. 3. The Corporation will furnish and maintain at its expense one transformation and service drop, unless otherwise provided for in the Rules and Regulations. All wiring, poles, lines and other electrical equipment beyond the point where the service wires of the member, which extend from the weatherhead of the service entrance installed by the member, connect with the service wires of the Corporation is considered the distribution system of the member and shall be furnished and maintained by the member except that the outdoor meter base and meter shall be furnished and maintained by the Corporation. 4. Should the electrical energy furnished under this schedule for any reason be metered on the primary side of the service transformer, the Corporation shall deduct 1.5% of the kilowatthours so metered before computing the bill. In those cases where the member is not located where three phase service is available, and the Corporation elects to extend its facilities to make such service available, the Rules and Standards for Electric Service shall apply.
