From 3 May 2010, all NMBU students must submit the electronic version of their master's theses via Brage NMBU. All approved master's theses will be made available as soon as they have been released for publication, i.e. after any embargo periods resulting from restrictions on access have expired. (Embargo = deferred publication) Statutory restrictions on access If the thesis contains information that is subject to a statutory duty of secrecy (the Norwegian Public Administration Act Section 13), the Confidential Thesis Form must be filled in and submitted together with the printed version of the thesis. In Brage you must enter the date when the restrictions on access cease to apply in the Embargo date field and the grounds for restricting access in the Description field. See the Checklist to find out whether access to the thesis must be restricted. Restricted access on other grounds If the student plans to continue working with the material with a view to publication via other channels, for example publication in an international journal, access to the thesis can be restricted for a period, usually up to two years. In Brage you must enter the date when the restrictions on access cease to apply in the Embargo date field and the grounds for restricting access in the Description field. If access to the paper version is also to be restricted, the Confidential thesis form must be filled in and submitted together with the printed version of the thesis. Even if you have submitted an electronic version of your thesis via Brage, you must nonetheless submit the printed version to the Student Information Centre (SiT). • • The printed and the electronic versions must be identical. All relevant forms, such as the self-declaration form, registration form (and, if relevant, the confidential thesis form) and the receipt for submission in Brage must be submitted together with the printed version of your thesis. A thesis shall only be registered in Brage once. If there is more than one author, they must all be registered in the same form. If your thesis falls under more than one department, the Brage group will ensure that the thesis is linked to the relevant collections. Contact the Brage group if you have submitted the wrong version of the thesis. The thesis (complete with cover page and back page) is to be submitted as one PDF file. It is a good idea to use your last name and the year in the file name (e.g. hansen2012.pdf). – Information about conversion from the University of Oslo and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) – The computer service's guidelines for merging PDF files rfi l N~ All institutions --+ Englis Norges milje- og biovilenskapelige universilet Notwogian Unlvotslly of lifo ScioncM Norges milj 0- og biovitenskapelige universitet Sub-archives within this community Dept. of Animal and Aquacultural Sciences (IHA) Dept. of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Science (IKBM) Dept. of Ecology and Natural Resources Management (INA) Dept. of Environmental Sciences (IMV) Dept. of Food Safety and Infection Biology (MATINF) Dept. of International Environment and Development Studies (Noragric) Dept. of Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning (ILP) Dept. of Mathematical Sciences and Technology (IMT) Dept. of Plant and Environmen tal Sciences (IPM) (closed for submissions from January 2014 ) Dept. of Plant Sciences (IPV) School of Economics and Business (HH) Collections • Journal articles (peer reviewed) • Publikasjoner fra CRIStin Recent Submissions Linking SSR 2.0, human security & development : community-based approaches to policing and police reform in Afghanistan Search (i J Search this Archive ) Search all Archives Browse This Archive By Issue Dale Authors Titles Subjects Types Journals All Archives Archives & Collections By Issue Dale Authors Titles Subjects Types Journals My Account Login Bernard, Meline (Master thesis, 2014-11 -05) The thesis presents the results o f an exploratory study of perceptions which examines the debate over communitybased approaches to policing in Afghanistan.
