Emerson appoints David Newman as Oil and Gas
Operations Consultant for Europe
Emerson Process Management announces that David Newman has joined the company’s
global industry sales organisation as Operations Consultant for oil & gas industries.
For the last seven years, David Newman has been Operations Director for Emerson’s METCO
Services Limited, based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
David Newman holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Instrumentation and Electronics,
and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Open University in the UK. He is a
Fellow of the Institute of Measurement and Control, a chartered engineer and a European
engineer.
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Schellekens, Vice President, global industry sales of
Emerson said, “The combination of David’s industry knowledge and extensive experience,
which includes time spent in America, the Far East, and Russia, is a perfect fit for this
challenging role. David’s prime focus will be to generate opportunities through working with
customers in Europe, assisting the world area sales organisation with the development and
delivery of Emerson’s PlantWeb® values to the business units of major oil and gas
companies.”
