Any other business Cash/Vouchers for Disaster Risk Reduction Activities: Group discussed the use of cash and vouchers for DRR activities that can be especially useful in this period of preparedness for the 2013 monsoon season. Example includes assisting vulnerable households in the construction of household and community-level grain storage silos on an elevated level, by using local material. Organizations can also help build capacity of communities in building appropriate silos through trainings for men and women. The group will create linkages with these service providers and invite them to meetings to provide a forum to discuss possible future partnerships, discuss the different products and services they can offer for cash transfer and also share their previous experience of working with humanitarian organizations or government, the lessons learned and recommendations from previous projects. Frequency of Coordination Meetings in Sindh: It was agreed that the CWG in Sindh will meet on a monthly basis. The updates from the meetings will be shared at the Food Security Cluster meetings. CWG members are also welcome to share any agenda points they would like to see added to the agenda, in advance, with the co-chairs. The co-chairs will inform FSC and CWG members about the market assessment training once the dates are finalized. Co-chairs will contact banks and telecom companies in their provinces (especially those having experience of implementing a cash transfer project with humanitarian organizations/government) and create their link with the group.
