Brehmer, Universität Potsdam Represented by: VDI/VDE Technologiezentrum Informationstechnik GmbH VDIIVDE-IT r s Scope: Topics: In recent years, micro- and nanotechnologies have become key technologies with a significant effect on the development of new products and production methods. Moreover, due to their enormous potential for new applications, micro- and nanotechnologies, in future, will increasingly affect our everyday life, with an impact, comparable to that of the industrial revolution in the 19th century, or the developments in microelectronics in the 20th century. The International Forum on MicroNano Integration addresses micro- and nanotechnologies with a strong focus on synergy effects given by combination and mutual integration of both technology areas. Hence, the International Forum on MicroNano Integration, will provide a forum for researchers from industries as well as from research institutes for contacting, exchange and starting common research activities. The International Forum on MicroNano Integration will cover a broad range of basic technology aspects with a strong focus on applications. In most cases, micro- and nanotechnology go hand in hand with each other: nanotechnology devices need an implementation into a microtechnology environment, working as a linkage to the macroscopic world. On the other hand, microsystems benefit from novel functionality given by nanotechnology components. The International Forum on MicroNano Integration will include oral presentations and a poster session. In order to enhance technology transfer from institutes to industry on a transnational and interdisciplinary level, a pre-arranged meeting service will be organized. w w w . m i n i t . o r g Conference Office: ■ Innovation Aspects of MicroNano Integration ■ MicroNano Systems and Devices ■ MicroNano Devices for Information Technologies VDI/VDE-IT Innovation Relay Centre Northern Germany Rheinstrasse 10B, D-14513 Teltow, Germany www.vdivde-it.de ■ MicroNano Devices for Biomedical Applications Contact ■ Frontiers of MicroNano Fabrication and Engineering ■ Metrology and Standards Dr. Harald Knobloch, VDI/VDE-IT Phone: +49 (0)3328 / 435-143 E-Mail: info@minit.org www.minit.org (online-registration) Target Groups: Call for Papers ■ Industry ■ Universities and Research Centres ■ Investors ■ Public Bodies Co-ordinates: Date: December 3 - 4, 2003 Venue: Hotel Dorint Sanssouci Jägerallee 20 D-14469 Potsdam, Germany www.dorint.com/potsdam Deadlines: Abstract Submission: June 30, 2003 Early Registration: May 15, 2003 Conference Fee: 750,- EUR 600,- EUR (Early Registration) Conference fee includes: - Conference book - Conference diner and catering With this announcement we are addressing representatives from industry as well as from academia to submit papers for the conference.
