Cardinal Rigali has recently appointed Bob Iatesta to a newly formed Advisory Board for priestly vocations in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. This Board is composed of lay leaders, priests, religious and teachers with Fr. Chris Rogers and Bishop Daniel Thomas directing. Beyond acting as a "think tank", the Vocations Board is created to be a listening device for the local Church. What is God doing? How can we cooperate? We want each of you to feel connected to this process. It's a great opportunity to send your ideas and suggestions to Living Bridges. We'll pass this input on to Fr. Rogers. The greatest gift each of us can give is dedicated prayer to facilitate this effort. Advent Programs Two great programs are available December: God's Daring Plan - An Advent series on Luke's Infancy Narratives, by Gene Krueger at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, the last 3 weeks are Friday, December 4, 11, 18 (7:00 am to 8:00) The third annual Spirit Power Retreat will be held at Malvern Retreat House, December 8 (9am to 4 pm) honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe. Presenters are: Marty Rotella, Fr. Stephen DeLacy and Anna Iatesta - as a special guest. We ask Jesus, our High Priest, to bless and multiply this work. Reflections 2 - by Anna is now being given the last touches of editing and review. This wonderful booklet of simple, yet profound parables will bless you and your family. We hope to have this second edition of Reflections ready for Advent. You can order booklets now for pre-Christmas delivery. Contact the Living Bridges office for details. These pearls of Godly wisdom can make great gifts for family, friends, and neighbors. These programs will give your Advent and Christmas holidays a great lift. New High School: We are beginning to look into the possibility of adding high school grades to our Living Bridges Education Program. A questionnaire has just been sent out to our existing school families - grades K to 8. This is meant to determine if a new family-based high school program is now called for, by Living Bridges.
