Killebrew Park Campground Policy
The following rules apply to Killebrew Park Campground and must be complied with:
1.
Campsites are provided for overnight occupancy by individuals or families. This is designed for wholesome recreation in a
natural environment.
2.
Campsite occupancy is limited to one immediate family or six person maximum per campsite and one of the following camping
rigs provided the campsite will accommodate it:
a. One motor home and one additional automobile.
b. One auto with tent and one additional automobile.
c. One auto with pop-up trailer and one additional automobile.
d. One auto with travel trailer and one additional automobile.
e. One pickup with mounted camping rig and one additional automobile.
3.
The Fee for Camping is $5.00 Per night paid in cash at the time of check in with bills no larger than $20.00.
4.
Each authorized camper will be issued a specific campsite, given a receipt, and furnished with a permit that must be displayed
on the campsite post.
5.
Campsites can be reserved within 7 days of desired dates by calling Plant Crisp Generating Facility at (229)-535-6275. One
reservation allowed per household at a time. Stays will be limited to Ten days then the camper must vacate the camping area
for four days before registering to camp again.
6.
Departure time is 1:00PM.
7.
When all campsites are occupied no other campers shall be permitted to register.
8.
An adult must accompany all campers under the age of 18.
9.
Pets must be kept on a 6 foot leash and attended at all times. Unleashed pets and those which disturb other campers are
subject to removal from the campground. Pet waste must be disposed of properly.
10. Noise making devices (radios, T.V.’s, loud generators etc.) with volume in moderation are allowed between 7:00AM and
10:00PM.
11. All parties and group gatherings are to be terminated by 9:45pm. The park closes and gate is locked at 10:00PM.
All persons not registered to camp must exit the park by 10:00PM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The Park entrance gate will remain closed between the hours of 10:00PM and 6:00AM. Exit from the park while the gate is
closed for emergencies can be arranged by calling (229)-273-3811 Ext. 485 or going to the speaker at the gate and calling the
Operator on duty
12. No roads or boat ramp access may be blocked or obstructed in any way.
13. Campfires are permitted in areas provided. Fires are not to be left unattended. The cutting of vegetation or standing trees is
prohibited. The use of a chainsaw for cutting firewood is prohibited. Do not injure trees with nails or lantern burns.
14. All sites are to be kept free of trash and litter during stay. Upon check-out all property, trash, wood etc. must be removed from
site. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning fee of $10.00 that must be paid before being permitted to camp again.
15. IMPORTANT: Campers are hereby notified that river levels downstream of the dam are subject to sudden changes depending
on weather or other conditions. When floodgates at the dam are opened the campsite is potentially flooded. If requested to
leave for this reason the camper MUST LEAVE IMMEDIATELY regardless of days remaining in period. It is the camper’s
responsibility to remain in frequent contact with campsite in the event evacuation is needed. In the case of a mandatory
evacuation campers will be refunded for remaining nights that have been paid for.

BY SIGNING BELOW, THE UNDERSIGNED AGREES TO FULLY COMPLY WITH AND
ACKNOWLEDGES RECEIPT OF RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO KILLEBREW PARK
CAMPGROUND, AND ASSURES THAT ALL IN HIS/HER PARTY WILL ALSO ABIDE BY THOSE RULES.
In consideration of being allowed to use Killebrew Park Campground, the undersigned hereby releases and
discharges Crisp County, the Crisp County Power Commission and all of its Commissioners, Officers, Employees, Agents
and Servants from any and all liability or damages to persons or property in any way related in whole or in part to the
use of said Campground property and facilities by the undersigned or any of those in the undersigned’s party. The
undersigned also agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Crisp County and the Crisp County Power Commission along
with those affiliated therewith as stated above for any claims or damages to persons or property related in whole or in
part to or resulting from any of the undersigned’s use of said Campground. Further, upon request, the undersigned will
replace and/or reimburse Crisp County and the Crisp County Power Commission for any damages to persons or property
of Crisp County or the Crisp County Power Commission resulting from the undersigned’s use of said property and
facilities or such use by any of those in the undersigned’s party.
