INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before wiring ensure the supply is disconnected at the distribution board and you have
studied and understood the connection diagram below.
When wiring the timer using the screw connectors attached to the tab terminals ensure
that they are kept apart for maximum clearance and safety.
Connection can be made using the 6.3 x 0.8mm tab terminals.

The PDL Rotary Timer has a 12 month warrant from the date of purchase providing the unit
is installed according to these instructions, local wiring regulations and Codes of Practice.
This warranty is void on any unit which has been tampered with, damaged by accident,
improper operation or incorrect installation.
This guarantee is in addition to, and does not in any way affect the rights under the Consumer
Guarantees Act 1993, if the ACT applies to the supply of this product and you are not acquiring
the product for a business use. If the ACT applies and any term is inconsistent with the terms
or requirements of the ACT that term shall be invalid without affecting the remaining terms
of the warranty.
Note: Under the CGA 1993, Schneider Electric advises that this product does not contain
user serviceable components thus spare parts and repair facilities are not available.
In the event of a warranty claim, the product must be returned to the point of purchase or
direct to Australia/New Zealand distributors together with the proof of purchase.

The timer can be switched to one of three
modes:
AUTO
the clock automatically
switches the load according
to the set programme
OFF
the clock ignores the set
programme and the load
remains inactive (off)
MANUAL
the clock ignores the set
programme and the load
remains active (on)
SPECIFICATIONS
Set the clock so the correct time or
day is adjacent to the horizontal
arrowhead.
Assuming you have wired the timer to switch the load ON for the selected time
periods, select those periods when you want the clock to activate the load by
moving outwards the appropriate tappets arranged around the clock face. Each
tappet represents 20 minutes for the 24hr version and 2hrs 20 minutes for the 7
day version.
If you have wired the timer to switch the load OFF for the selected time periods,
select those periods when you want the clock to deactivate the load by moving
inwards the appropriate tappets.
Select the mode of operation by moving the slide switch to 'AUTO', 'OFF' or
'MANUAL' as and when required.
