APPLICATIONS
Starfield’s line of low-power, low-voltage occupancy sensors are designed
for easy installation and network communication. Use these sensors to meet
energy code requirements for auto-off and enhanced security systems.
Features include ceiling and wall mounting for maximum coverage and
completely passive technology to eliminate potential hearing aid interference.
reporting while direct digital control eliminates hardwired zones and power
packs.
Data collected with Starfield’s high-speed query capacity can be shared with
other building systems or displayed graphically to create animated displays
for security analysis.
Optional network communication allows remote configuration and real-time

SPECIFICATIONS
Selectable logic options allows buildings to respond to changing needs
and personal preference.
Direct digital control simplifies installation, eliminates external power
packs, and provides configuration flexibility.
Coordinated interface with Starfield wall controls.
Manual-on logic eliminates need for dual technology sensors in most
applications.
Monitor, record, share, and display occupancy data for enhanced energy
savings and security.
Automatic Gain Control — Dual tech acoustical sensors use patented
technology to tune out constant background noise while responding to
changing noise signals like talking, shuffling of papers, and general
human activities
100% passive technology eliminates possible hearing aid interference.

Advantage
Auto/Manual
When covered area becomes unoccupied, lights lower to minimum setting
for a 10 minute period. If occupancy
is detected during the warning period
lights will restore to their previous
setting. Otherwise lights turn off and
must be manually restarted.
Private offices, conference rooms, and
areas with multiple user controls that
require manual override.
Recommended for evening operation
where security guards and cleaning
crews may be present.
10 minutes
Consistent, intuitive operation eliminates the need for dual technology
sensors in most applications.
Meets California Title 24 2005 new
“on at 50% or less” requirement when
used with Starfield digital dimmers.
Auto/Restore
When covered area becomes unoccupied, lights lower to minimum setting
and stay at that setting until occupancy is detected
Private offices during business hours
with change to Auto/Manual during
off-hours.
NA
Less intrusive systems generally preferred by occupants.
Meets California Title 24 2005 new
“on at 50% or less” requirement when
used with Starfield digital dimmers.
Auto/Auto
When covered area becomes unoccupied,
lights lower to minimum setting for a 10
minute warning period. If occupancy is
detected during warning period or when
lights are off they will automatically
restore to previous setting.
Public areas or safety and security
areas without manual controls. Dual
technology occupancy sensors recommended where high sensitivity setting
are required.
10 minutes
Automatic on
Auto/Auto CA
Same operation as auto/auto except
that lights always turn on at 50% or
less regardless of last setting.
See Auto/Auto
10 minutes
Automatic on.
Meets California Title 24 2005 new “on
at 50% or less” requirement.
