Bridge Completion Module BCM
for GSV-2TSD and GSV-1T8
BCM for GSV-2TSD
BCM for GSV-1T8
The bridge completion modules are used for supplementing quarter-bridges and halfbridges to full bridges.
In the case of the measuring amplifier GSV-2TSD, the bridge completion module has the
form of a 6-pole plug with 3 screw type terminals. The quarter-bridges or half-bridges are
connected with the contacts of the 3 terminals.
For the measuring amplifier GSV-1T8 as well as for other measuring amplifiers with 15pole sub-D input socket, the bridge completion modules are designed as sub-D plugs with
5m connecting cable.
The bridge completion modules are available as 120 Ohm, 350 Ohm and 1000 Ohm
modules. They are fitted with resistors of tolerance 0.1%, TK25.

The modules BCM-QB and BCM-QB-S offer the possibility to connect quarter bridges in “threeconductor technique”. The wires from terminals 4a and 4b resp. the brown and green wires are
brought together at the soldering node of the external strain gage. The conductor resistance thus
effects both the positive and the negative branch of the bridge circuit. Errors due to changes in
conductor resistances and interferences are compensated thereby. If a three-conductor
technology is not to be used, a short circuit bridge must be laid between 4a and 4b. At the bridge
completion modules with connecting cable BCM-QB-S additionally the pin 15 is led through with a
yellow connecting wire to enable shunt calibration, if necessary.
Positive strain at R3 results in a positive output signal.
Negative strain at R4 results in a positive output signal.
