Due to requirements in our license to perform Grease, students must purchase their script for $8.
Scripts and accompanying CDʼs are available from Mr. Travis.

Auditions
Auditions are only required of students interested in a solo character part in Grease. Choir members
who do not audition will be assigned a chorus part in the production. Students not currently in the
choir will need to complete a permission form and pay the $25.00 activity fee to participate after
casting is completed on January 30, 2011. Permission forms are available from Mr. Travis.

January 31 – April 23 – A schedule will be provided.
• Seventh and Eighth graders rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:20 AM.
• Sixth graders rehearse on Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:20 AM.
• Choreography rehearsals will take place after school on select Thursday
afternoons, 1:35 – 3:00 PM.
There are one or two parts to the audition, singing and/or speaking. You may choose any song in the score.
The CD available with the script includes accompaniments for the primary solo and chorus music. If
auditioning with a song not in this musical, the singer must provide his/her own accompaniment. Songs do not
need to be memorized. Guitar players should prepare a short song that demonstrates their ability.
The speaking audition will be chosen from a characterʼs dialogue. Dialogue need not be memorized.
