Dialogue Experience Facilitation Format
Part I: All students will be assigned to a group to design an Dialogue
Experience (DE) for the class. Groups will design the DE and implement the DE
in a designated class. Groups will be assigned a specific topic area to cover.
Groups will be responsible for leading an entire class when assigned. The class
will offer feedback to enhance all DEs presented. (Specific details about the
format will distributed in class)
Part II: In preparation for your DE you will be required to gather background
research from outside sources in addition to your course textbooks. You will be
assigned a specific course instructor to serve as a facilitator for your group who
will help you and group through the process.
In addition to any materials necessary to run your dialogue experience, you will
be required to share with the class a document that (a)provides an overview
statement detailing the purpose of the exercise, (b) details all of the
instructions for running the DE, and (c) includes any background reading
material necessary for leading an effective discussion following the exercise.
This paper is a group project—only one paper per group will be required.
