Welcome to Trinity Sure Start Children’s Centre Day
Nursery. The information on this sheet has been
designed to help you understand how the day nursery
operates. You may have lots of unanswered questions
so please don’t hesitate to contact us. All the staff are
ready and willing to help you.
The Right Decision
Deciding how best to met childcare needs can be a difficult
decision for families. There are excellent settings in this area
and parents are encouraged to visit different nurseries, preschools and childminders before making their choice.

take you through the different options.
Key Person
Children will be allocated a key person who will be a fully
qualified childcare practitioner. The key person is the close link
between home and nursery and the ‘special’ person children
look forward to seeing.
Concerns, Suggestions, Compliments & Complaints
Although your key person is your first point of contact,
all staff will make themselves available to speak with you.

Outside Area
Trinity Sure Start Children’s Centre benefits from stimulating
outdoor areas including a wooded area, sensory garden and
hard all weather play grounds.
Contagious illnesses
There are recommended periods of time children should stay
away from nursery after contracting certain illnesses to prevent
them spreading.
 Sickness and Diarrhoea - 48 hours from the last episode
 Chicken pox- until all the chicken pox spots have dried up
 Conjunctivitis – once treatment has been given

Medication
If your child has been prescribed medication it should be
brought in the original container, clearly labelled with the child’s
name. Mum’s, Dad’s or Carers will be asked to complete a
consent form and then asked to sign another form at the end of
your child’s session to confirm when the staff have given your
child the medicine and at what time. The same procedure will
be followed for un-prescribed medicines.
Martham Primary and Nursery School
Martham Primary and Nursery School is co-located with Trinity
Sure Start Children’s Centre. The Centre benefits from a full
time nursery teacher. We are able to provide fully integrated
childcare with education. Your child will be eligible for 15 hours
free government funding the term after they turn 3. If you
would like to enrol your child at Martham Primary & Nursery
School, please speak to Debbie Hewitt on 01493 740071. If you
would like to find out more about the free funding please speak
to Helen at Trinity Sure Start Children’s Centre.
What next?
If you decide to choose Trinity Sure Start Children’s Centre to
meet your childcare needs, you will be expected to pay a £10
deposit which will be taken off your first month’s invoice. You
will also be expected to pay a non-refundable £5 admin fee.
Routine
To support you and your child we
aim to follow your child’s routine at
different stages of their development.
Activities are planned to fully support
children’s individual needs.
Opening Times:
Trinity Day Nursery is
open 8am – 6pm
Mondays to Fridays.
Woodlands is open
Mondays, Thursdays and
Fridays 9am – 1pm
The nursery is closed on
all Bank Holidays as well
as for two days deep
clean during the summer
holidays. Please ask for
the exact dates.
