Patching Frames & Racks
The high density patching frame
This is a unique and simple solution to the common problems associated with
the high density mounting of patch panels within a structured cabling system.
Horizontal cable management is the traditionally required with standard
racking systems to control the quantity of patch cables required in a highly
populated installation.
The design of the HDPF is such that the need for horizontal cable management
is negated, allowing for higher patch panel packing densities.The HDPF rack
uses side management bars which do not utilise vertical rack space therefore
allowing the termination of a greater number of structured cabling lines.Top
and bottom cable troughs are then provided allowing patch cords to be neatly
contained when racks are side-by-side. Front-to-back cable management slots
are also incorporated for use when the racks are provided in this fashion.

Server Cabinets
The USpace 6210 is the original premium cabinet range offering from
USystems. Smart design and state of the art manufacturing facilities
guarantees unbeatable quality, style and innovation associated
with USystems. The 6210 cabinet provides an open framework with
maximum all round accessibility.
The pre-assembled Tough Torque™ fastened rigid steel frame consists
of bottom end frame with maximum cable entry, four rugged inboard
vertical pre-formed uprights and top end frame with large opening to
take the vented and cable entry top.
The 19”mounting angles are bolted onto the uprights and are
adjustable. If very low minimum depth is required and depth support
rails are fitted, the minimum depth can be as low as zero (I.e. Complete
front to rear movement across the depth of the cabinet).
Doors are available in AirTech™ perforated steel which has an 80% or
AirTech Plus™ doors which boast an impressive 85% airflow and are
ideal for many data room configurations and cooling options.
AirTech™ wardrobe doors are suitable for narrow aisles and like all the
AirTech™ range, can also accommodate upgraded security locking.
All the door options have quick release hinge opening with lift off
capability.
Key override combination locks and electronic locks are available in
two or three point locking should extra security is required.
Side panels have locking pins for location and are locked from inside
the cabinet for additional security. The pins have lock-in and lock-out
positions to ensure the correct positions when removing and replacing
the side panels.
Side panels can be removed and replaced even when cabinets are
bayed together.
Fan trays can be fitted to the top cover without affecting valuable U
space inside the cabinet.

Coldlogik cabinet
Data centres are the power house of today’s
global economy, without modern computing
power applied to all facets of today’s advanced
economies, the quality of life would be very
different.
However great the benefits, there is one
unfortunate fact that today’s data centres are
highly inefficient, in their use of energy and their
subsequent effect on the global climate.
ColdLogik replaces the traditional approach
to data centre cooling, allowing loads of up to
45kW per cabinet with the added benefit of
removing real estate problems inherent with hot
aisle cold aisle and aisle containment designs.
The waste heat generated by equipment within
the cabinets is removed at source by water
cooling, without the risk of leakage in the data
centre by our patent pending leak prevention
system.
ColdLogik allows cooling water temperatures to
rise from the traditional 6ºC reducing chiller size
and energy costs and increasing the availability
of energy efficient ‘free cooling’.
The ColdLogik Management System allows the
doors to operate individually or as a system to
maintain the room at the correct temperature
even with external heat loads and eliminates the
risk of condensation.

ColdLogik Convex Aisle Containment
Thermodynamically advanced, cost and energy efficient,
the Convex Aisle Containment system is the latest
contribution to the ColdLogik range of inspired data
centre cooling solution options.
Convex Aisle Containment is suitable for new builds and
is also fully retrofittable onto both USystems and OEM
cabinets for new build or existing data centres without
affecting day to day operations, where the cold or hot
aisle can be contained to maximise cooling efficiency.
ColdLogik CAP - Controlled Air Path
To improve the efficiency of a CRAC-based data centre
design, USystems’ ColdLogik controlled air path CAP units
isolate and guide hot air out of the top of the cabinet into
a ceiling plenum.
Removing hot air from each cabinet by ducting the air
through funnels on the top of the cabinet - in a controlled
manner through to the ceiling plenum - is a logical, simple
and highly cost effective improvement to managing data
centre cooling.

Why ColdLogik?
up to 93% Energy savings – How?
It’s simple, the ColdLogik solution relies upon higher
water supply temperatures than normal cooling
solutions, the higher the temperature the less energy
used, which leads to the option of using a greater
amount of free cooling during the year.
Examples
A data/comms room requiring an average of 4kW
of cooling per rack, maintaining a room ambient
temperature of 23/24˚C using a ‘CRAC’ solution
will need supply water at around 6/7˚C, whereas
ColdLogik requires water around 20/21˚C to achieve
the same performance, this alone equates to in excess
of 35% energy saving.
When this is combined with using a free cooling
module, the ability to remove heat direct at source
and using EC technology fans, the energy savings
rocket up to 93% - in fact if a heat reclaim system is
also installed as apart of the overall energy saving
strategy then it’s possible to get a staggering 98%
energy saving.
What about a comparison with Cold Aisle
containment?
In excess of 70% energy savings are achieved.
How does it compare with in row cooling and hot aisle
containment?
Energy savings of 40+% is expected, but this can be
as high as 83%.

UCoustic™ Introduction 42U
The UCoustic family of enclosures has been designed to
be more than just a state of the art sound proof cabinet;
it’s also a state of the art all round communications unit.
The combination of record breaking noise attenuation and
thermal dissipation performance ensures the UCoustic™
family is a world class leader in its field.
For the uninitiated 28.5dBA is a massive noise reduction
to achieve from a 19” Enclosure and to achieve this
USystems have invested heavily in research and
development, utilising state of the art technology and
included the latest most effective acoustic materials
available.
This amazing noise reduction has been achieved without
compromise to cooling the active equipment housed
within. In fact the UCoustic™ 9210 not only out performs
all other 19” enclosures in noise reduction but also in
thermal capacity by achieving a staggering 7.2kw of heat
dissipation.
So what does 28.5dBA noise reduction mean and
what benefits do I get?
As with all sound proof enclosures, the performance of
the UCoustic™ family relies upon the ingenuity of the
enclosure design and the acoustic material used in order
to remove as much noise from the enclosed sound source
(e.g. servers) as is possible. Noise is measured in decibels
(dBA) so when we claim 28.5dBA noise attenuation, we
are basically saying this is the amount of noise we are
removing from the sound source. So if the starting point
of the sound source is 69dBA (equivalent to a vacuum
cleaner at 3m) then by removing 28.5dBA will be the
equivalent of reducing the sound source down to say
‘quiet speech’ (see chart below) putting this into context,
the cabinet placed in an office environment which can
sit anywhere between 48dBA (average office without
speech) and 78dBA (busy office with speech), then
basically this is a long winded way of saying you will not
be able to hear the original sound source from within
the UCoustic™ Cab – unless you had your ear pressed up
again the cabinet!
