MV/LV construction training:
a) All tools required to facilitate the training process according to the National Eskom approved
tool list. This includes but not limited to all necessary hand tools, lifting equipment, digging
tools, crimpers, drilling machines, ladders.
b) A truck fitted with a hydraulic crane to facilitate the practical training for the planting of
poles, transformer installations, loading and off-loading material, setting up of conductor
drum stations. This includes the operator for the vehicle.
c) Construction material such as insulators, stay assemblies, conductor, PVC able, wood poles,
line hardware, preform line products, transformers and steel wire used to facilitate the
practical training such as the assembly on line components, stringing and tensioning
conductor, installation of stay assemblies, pole planting, making off and terminating low
voltage cables, transformer installations.
