HYDRAULIC LABORATORY
The hydraulic laboratory is used both with an educational purpose and as a research
laboratory.
Using the modern equipment from the laboratory, measurements were performed for
research contracts, PhD theses and research topics for the department.
Laboratory facilities
CALIBRATION PUMP with weights; Bourdon tube with a measuring range 0 ... 200
kN/m2; piston area: 244.8 x 10-6 m2; piston mass: 0.5 kg mass added weight: 0.5kg, 1.0kg
and 2.5kg.
FLOW CHANNEL made of transparent acrylic; patterns of flow visualization: 5;
width: 15 mm; length: 615 mm; depth: 150 mm; tank capacity: 0.45 l.
PITOT TUBE with pressure gauge, weir, siphons (2 types), radial gate, waves
generator; accessories of the existing flume and must meet the installation requirements on the
Armfield flume: assembly dimensions on the basic existing Armfield hydraulic bench- width:

DEVICE FOR DETERMINING THE PARAMETERS of discharged flow over weirs;

DEVICE FOR MEASUREMENT OF ENERGY LOSS IN PIPES; pipe tested

measuring cylinder capacity: 1000 m.
