Description of Equipment or Pmtective System
The 30mm Rangeof Senso$are seif containedsensorsxith a variety of difrerent fimctions and circuit opdonscontained
within a 30fim diameter x 93mm long planic moulded enclosure.The enclosuremay b€ moulded in Cletr or Opaque
polymers. The enclosureis encapsulatedusmg eporl r€sin. The produd qTe is identified in the seriesand code on the
label. The outer surfaceof the tubular enclosureis tbreadedM30 x l.5nm for a lenglh of 7Orffir slarting at the sensorend
of the enclosure.Two plastic nuts are suppliedto clafip lhe sensorin a mounting bracket. An integral 2 wire cable is
provided for connectionto ^ 24-240V k or 24-240V ac supply. The sensorsmay act as a ss,itch with a fi|a-\imum
switching capacityof 200mA in which casethey must be cornectedin series[,ith a s:uitableload with lhe samevoltage
rating as the supplybeing used,which tlpically would be a relay.
Altematively the s€nsorsnay be a l0-30V DC, lW, 4 wre versiofl which containsan outpul with a switching capacityof
l00mA.
Alt€matively the sensorsrnay be a l2-240V DC or 24-240V AC, 2VA, 5 wire version $hich conlainsan output rlith a
switchingrelay capacityof 240V AC , 3A (noninductive).
The ma'iimum power suppliedto the senso.circlrit is controlledby a 63mA fuse and two parallel zener diodesmted at
l2V. The normal operatingvoltage is 6.2V for the 2 wire circuit, lov for the 4 wire circuit ad 8.5V for tlrc 5 wire circuit.
The input supply is protectedby a thennal firse ratedat 98"C.
