Our award-winning SuperneT™ Integrated Communication System is another
system that offers seamless and interoperable communications among various
forces equipped with diverse communication systems. It integrates disparate
communication systems to facilitate interoperability among different parties and
enables commanders to carry out effective command, control and coordination
during mission planning and field operations.
For soldiers, ST Electronics has developed the Advanced Combat Man
System (ACMS) that enhances a soldier’s situational awareness, survivability,
effectiveness and sustainability. It enables networking with other C4ISR or
fighting platforms, increases combat effectiveness and the soldier’s ability to
call for support from air, land and sea. The ACMS Lite offers an ultra lightweight
system that provides seamless connectivity on-the-move.

Our Soldier Systems Centre also provides a focal point
for all soldier systems development.
Complementing the soldier systems are our lightweight
mobile reconnaissance robots which are part of
the Tactical Throwing Sensor and Forward Sensor
System. These are designed to provide real-time video
surveillance of the environment, enhancing situational
awareness in advance to mitigate danger.
In line with our focus on mobility, our next generation
Mobile C4I System (MCS) solution and mobile
CETRON Command Posts were engineered to
provide unrivalled connectivity and C2 capabilities,
with full interoperability from command centres to
ground units. Similarly, our Integrated Battlefield
Management System (iBMS) enables commanders
to take decisive actions in a fluid and fast changing
operating environment. iBMS features network-centric
capabilities that provide the commanders with a
comprehensive ground situation picture and tools for
planning, dissemination, collaboration and intelligence.
Communications
The success of any military operation hinges on the
availability of accurate and timely information. In view
of this, ST Electronics focuses on optimising air, land
and sea communications in C4 systems for defence
forces, leveraging advanced wireless and wired
network solutions.
We offer integrated solutions for secured wide area
tactical networks, through both terrestrial and nonterrestrial communication systems. These solutions
are customised to ensure seamless communication
between defence forces that operate on different
spectrums and/or diverse communication systems.
Our tactical systems include software-defined radios,
handheld programmable radios, aerial communication
networks, intelligent unmanned vehicles and data
communications.

Surveillance and Tracking
As the demand for cross border systems to tighten
security increases, ST Electronics has developed a
full range of sophisticated surveillance and tracking
systems for defence and homeland security applications
by tapping on our experience in designing defence
C4ISR systems. Our surveillance systems are built for
a wide variety of day and night uses in both surface
and underwater operations. These systems are ideal
for coastal, border, and area surveillance, as well as
protection of key installations.
With a further refinement of technology, we deliver
autonomous and unmanned systems, such as UGS
(Unmanned Ground Sensors), to enable system
operators to control remote sensors through
communication networks, as well as to integrate
real-time information for decision-making, incident
management, asset optimisation and simulation.
In our development process, we tap on tried and tested
methodologies and advanced COTS technologies to
orchestrate the integration of customised system
solutions across a wide spectrum of operating domains
and applications. These systems range from Unmanned
Surface Vehicle (USV) and Autonomous Underwater
Vehicle (AUV) to various air defence weapons systems.
Our Unmanned Surface Vehicle, Venus, is a modular
USV platform designed to cater to the growing interest
of USV re-configurable for multi-missions. The modular
approach facilitates the integration of multi-mission
modules to the USV, which can then be configured for
various missions without risking human lives. The
Venus family of USVs comprises the 16-metre Venus-16,
the 11-metre Venus-11, and the 9-metre Venus-9.
Our electronic warfare solutions have empowered
military forces worldwide with detection, protection and
spectrum monitoring capabilities. To this end, we offer
consultancy and solutions for real-time interception,
comprehensive surveillance and intelligence, and
locating of radio, GSM, WiFi, Internet, radar and satellite
facilities.

HOMELAND SECURITY
A volatile security landscape worldwide has prompted
global governments to tighten security at key sites,
such as airports, seaports, central business districts,
tourist attractions, educational institutions and major
infrastructures. ST Electronics utilises advanced
technologies to design new generation emergency
response systems that aid homeland security agencies
in their emergency response and management.
Security and Control
In Singapore, ST Electronics has successfully
implemented a nationwide integrated mission-critical
C3 infrastructure network for the Singapore Police
Force, Singapore Civil Defence Force and Central
Narcotics Bureau to enable seamless coordination
between the agencies. We have also deployed state-ofthe-art technologies in a Third Generation Command
and Control (C2) System and a Next Generation Public
Safety Communication System for the Singapore
Police Force to enhance its operational efficiency and
responsiveness to incidents and emergencies.
To ensure swift coordinated response during crisis,
our SERIS - Public Safety allows law enforcement
and emergency response agencies to communicate,
collaborate and optimise resources effectively.
SERIS - Public Safety solutions suite manage and
respond to these challenges efficiently and effectively
through the use of cutting-edge technologies such
as big data analytics, Internet-of-Things, sensor
technology, cyber intelligence and social analytics to
help governments, agencies and enterprises. SERIS

DEFENCE AND HOMELAND SECURITY
full-fledged system with scalable functionality to
meet the critical requirements of any emergency. By
putting citizens first, SERIS - Public Safety provides
municipalities with highly integrated solutions that
can help reshape and redefine global communities to
ensure safer, more secure and sustainable cities.
For effective mobile command, control and
communications, we have created the ideal solution
with our purpose-built Integrated CETRON Mobile
Command and Communication Vehicles (MCCV).
Integrating complex, large-scale and interoperable
communication and surveillance systems, the MCCVs
serve as versatile C4 centres that can be easily and
quickly deployed for on-site mission planning and
management of emergency situations. As testament
to our strength in providing integrated security and
communication systems, our CETRON Mobile Command
Hub was deployed by the Taiwan National Fire Agency
to facilitate effective incident responses during typhoon
incidents in Taiwan.
At the heart of some of these solutions lie our
homegrown, field-proven SuperneT™ Unified
Communication Suite. This system seamlessly
integrates wired and wireless communication systems
to create a unified communication network for both
fixed and mobile communication centres, allowing
interoperable communication between disparate
systems. It can be effectively deployed to provide
effective and efficient command and communications
ideal for mission-critical operations.

Integrated Security and Surveillance
ST Electronics is adept at making use of a wide
variety of sensors to offer revolutionary surveillance
systems that enhance security at critical sites and key
installations. When integrated with communication
systems, these surveillance solutions assume the
critical role of monitoring and tracking targets and
assets, as well as providing real-time information for
better decision-making and incident management.
Our Personal Identification, Navigation and Surveillance
system (PINS) enables continuous tracking of personnel
in GPS-denied built-up urban environment. It streams
video footage from the field to command centres,
enhancing surveillance and situational awareness on
the ground. Advanced video analytics are utilised to
analyse footages for facial recognition.
The compact Seachman Survivor Locator System is an
innovative product that rapidly detects the presence of
cellular phones, closing in on the possible locations of
survivors during disaster relief operations. It integrates
with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to cover larger search
areas and augments camera payload to provide video
surveillance to rescuers.
surveillance beyond territorial waters, pinpointing
suspicious activities as they unfold.
