ST Electronics has developed an integrated system with advanced communication capabilities and computers, as well as ISR systems to provide a comprehensive C4ISR solution to empower ground commanders by providing them with comprehensive situational awareness to take decisive actions. Our system optimises resource management and enables collaboration on a real-time basis. Our Systems and Solutions •Defence C4ISR Designed and integrated for an array of platforms, C4ISR capabilities comprise Communications, Soldier and Urban Operations Systems, Platform C4I, Surveillance and Tracking Systems, Underwater Systems and Electronic Warfare Systems. These C4ISR systems, including vehicle and vessel navigational systems, computers, communications and surveillance systems and sensors, are customised and fully integrated with Command, Control and Communications (C3) equipment for responsive decision-making. It integrates disparate communication systems to facilitate interoperability among different parties and enables commanders to carry out effective command, control and coordination during mission planning and field operations. For soldiers, ST Electronics has developed the Advanced Combat Man System (ACMS) that enhances a soldier’s situational awareness, survivability, effectiveness and sustainability. It enables networking with other C4ISR or fighting platforms, increases combat effectiveness and the soldier’s ability to call for support from air, land and sea. The ACMS Lite offers an ultra lightweight system that provides seamless connectivity on-the-move. The ultra portable ACMS Lite offers a lightweight soldier system DEFENCE AND HOMELAND SECURITY 3 Our Soldier Systems Centre also provides a focal point for all soldier systems development. Complementing the soldier systems are our lightweight mobile reconnaissance robots which are part of the Tactical Throwing Sensor and Forward Sensor System. These are designed to provide real-time video surveillance of the environment, enhancing situational awareness in advance to mitigate danger. In line with our focus on mobility, our next generation Mobile C4I System (MCS) solution and mobile CETRON Command Posts were engineered to provide unrivalled connectivity and C2 capabilities, with full interoperability from command centres to ground units. Similarly, our Integrated Battlefield Management System (iBMS) enables commanders to take decisive actions in a fluid and fast changing operating environment. iBMS features network-centric capabilities that provide the commanders with a comprehensive ground situation picture and tools for planning, dissemination, collaboration and intelligence. Communications The success of any military operation hinges on the availability of accurate and timely information. In view of this, ST Electronics focuses on optimising air, land and sea communications in C4 systems for defence forces, leveraging advanced wireless and wired network solutions. We offer integrated solutions for secured wide area tactical networks, through both terrestrial and nonterrestrial communication systems. These solutions are customised to ensure seamless communication between defence forces that operate on different spectrums and/or diverse communication systems. Our tactical systems include software-defined radios, handheld programmable radios, aerial communication networks, intelligent unmanned vehicles and data communications. Soldier Systems Centre 4 DEFENCE AND HOMELAND SECURITY Surveillance and Tracking As the demand for cross border systems to tighten security increases, ST Electronics has developed a full range of sophisticated surveillance and tracking systems for defence and homeland security applications by tapping on our experience in designing defence C4ISR systems. Our surveillance systems are built for a wide variety of day and night uses in both surface and underwater operations. These systems are ideal for coastal, border, and area surveillance, as well as protection of key installations. With a further refinement of technology, we deliver autonomous and unmanned systems, such as UGS (Unmanned Ground Sensors), to enable system operators to control remote sensors through communication networks, as well as to integrate real-time information for decision-making, incident management, asset optimisation and simulation. In our development process, we tap on tried and tested methodologies and advanced COTS technologies to orchestrate the integration of customised system solutions across a wide spectrum of operating domains and applications. These systems range from Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) and Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) to various air defence weapons systems. Our Unmanned Surface Vehicle, Venus, is a modular USV platform designed to cater to the growing interest of USV re-configurable for multi-missions. The modular approach facilitates the integration of multi-mission modules to the USV, which can then be configured for various missions without risking human lives. The Venus family of USVs comprises the 16-metre Venus-16, the 11-metre Venus-11, and the 9-metre Venus-9. Our electronic warfare solutions have empowered military forces worldwide with detection, protection and spectrum monitoring capabilities. To this end, we offer consultancy and solutions for real-time interception, comprehensive surveillance and intelligence, and locating of radio, GSM, WiFi, Internet, radar and satellite facilities. DEFENCE SYSTEM AND PRODUCT ENGINEERING System Engineering Unmanned Surface Vehicle, Venus-16 ST Electronics provides Combat Systems Integration (CSI), real-time software development, as well as the design of advanced electronic systems for naval, air defence and civil aviation applications. Our involvement in major platform-building and multi-CSI programmes cover the full spectrum of activities from front-end studies, generation and translation of requirements into specifications, design and development, and installation to testing and evaluation of systems with the platforms. Security and Control In Singapore, ST Electronics has successfully implemented a nationwide integrated mission-critical C3 infrastructure network for the Singapore Police Force, Singapore Civil Defence Force and Central Narcotics Bureau to enable seamless coordination between the agencies. By putting citizens first, SERIS - Public Safety provides municipalities with highly integrated solutions that can help reshape and redefine global communities to ensure safer, more secure and sustainable cities. For effective mobile command, control and communications, we have created the ideal solution with our purpose-built Integrated CETRON Mobile Command and Communication Vehicles (MCCV). Integrating complex, large-scale and interoperable communication and surveillance systems, the MCCVs serve as versatile C4 centres that can be easily and quickly deployed for on-site mission planning and management of emergency situations. As testament to our strength in providing integrated security and communication systems, our CETRON Mobile Command Hub was deployed by the Taiwan National Fire Agency to facilitate effective incident responses during typhoon incidents in Taiwan. At the heart of some of these solutions lie our homegrown, field-proven SuperneT™ Unified Communication Suite. This system seamlessly integrates wired and wireless communication systems to create a unified communication network for both fixed and mobile communication centres, allowing interoperable communication between disparate systems. It can be effectively deployed to provide effective and efficient command and communications ideal for mission-critical operations. 7 CETRON Mobile C4 Centre Integrated Security and Surveillance ST Electronics is adept at making use of a wide variety of sensors to offer revolutionary surveillance systems that enhance security at critical sites and key installations. When integrated with communication systems, these surveillance solutions assume the critical role of monitoring and tracking targets and assets, as well as providing real-time information for better decision-making and incident management. Our Personal Identification, Navigation and Surveillance system (PINS) enables continuous tracking of personnel in GPS-denied built-up urban environment. It streams video footage from the field to command centres, enhancing surveillance and situational awareness on the ground. Advanced video analytics are utilised to analyse footages for facial recognition. The compact Seachman Survivor Locator System is an innovative product that rapidly detects the presence of cellular phones, closing in on the possible locations of survivors during disaster relief operations.
