HPRS 1201 or EDUC 1300 or LEAD 1370 RECOMMENDED COURSES - Completion of the following courses is suggested for success in Required Courses BIOL 1406 – General Biology REQUIRED COURSES – Completion of the following courses with a minimum grade of ‘C’ no later than Summer semester BIOL 2301/2101 (formerly BIOL 2401) – Anatomy & Physiology I (LEC/LAB) BIOL 2302/2102 (formerly BIOL 2402) – Anatomy & Physiology II (LEC/LAB) CHEM 1305/1105 (formerly CHEM 1405) – Introductory Chemistry I (LEC/LAB) MATH 1314 – College Algebra SCIT 1320 – Physics for Allied Health (College Physics will not substitute for this course) (Be patient; it can take several weeks for admission applications to be processed). Submit Application Packet In person to HCC Coleman – Student Services with the following: Application Form – Must be typed and printed from hccs.edu/media/houston-communitycollege/coleman-college/pdfs/201507health_sciences_application Proof of Program Session attendance Proof of high school transcript or GED scores or college transcript showing a degree was conferred Official college transcript showing completion of required courses (unofficial from HCC is acceptable) A condition of admission is based on completion and/or submission of the following: Proof of personal health insurance Passing drug screening Physical examination Immunization record showing: Completion of Hepatitis B Immunization series (may take up to 6 months), MMR, Tdap, TB, Varicella, Meningitis (required for students under the age of 22), and Influenza (please note: a titer may be required for some of these immunizations) Cleared Criminal Background Attend Program Survival Camp Attend Student Services Orientation ACADEMIC COURSES – Completion of the following course is not required at the time of application, but is strongly recommended prior to admission Note for Advanced Placement of Professional Courses: Advanced standing on professional courses (NMTT, RADR & CTMT) in the curriculum for students already holding a credential/degree in a health profession will be considered on a course by course basis.
