only if new to college or transferring to HCC
with less than 12 college level credits
All applicants are required to attend a Program
Session, which is held at HCC Coleman:

admission applications to be processed)

RECOMMENDED COURSE – Completion of
the following course is suggested for success in
Required Course(s)
BIOL 1406 – General Biology
REQUIRED COURSES – Completion of the
following courses with a minimum grade of ‘C’
no later than Spring semester
BIOL 2404 – Introduction to Anatomy &
Physiology
OR both BIOL 2301/2101* (formerly BIOL
2401) (LEC/LAB) AND BIOL 2302/2102
(formerly BIOL 2402) (LEC/LAB) *
MATH 1314 – College Algebra
(recommended to retake, if over 5 years)
RSPT 1201 – Introduction to Respiratory
Care (must be taken at HCC)

with the following:
Application Form –
Must be typed and printed from

Proof of Program Session attendance
Official college transcript showing
completion of required courses (unofficial
from HCC is acceptable)
Immunization record showing at least 2 out
of 3 shots completed in Hepatitis B series
A condition of admission is based on completion
and/or submission of the following:
Proof of personal health insurance
Passing drug screening
Physical examination
Immunization record showing:
Completion of Hepatitis B Immunization
series (may take up to 6 months), MMR,
Tdap, TB, Varicella, Meningitis (required for
students under the age of 22), and Influenza
(please note: a titer may be required for some
of these immunizations)
Cleared Criminal Background
Attend Program Survival Camp
Attend Student Services Orientation
* Must be completed within 5 years prior to
application to the program
ACADEMIC COURSES – Completion of the
following course is not required at the time of
application, but is strongly recommended prior
to admission
ENGL 1301 – English Composition I
3 credits – Social/Behavioral Science elective
3 credits – Humanities/Fine Arts elective
