Dental Assisting Instruments and Supplies:
The following will be available to purchase in the Cambrian College Bookstore:
Program Specific Clinic Coat – $35.00 (Ceil blue)
Standard White Lab Coat – $20.00
Stethoscope and Blood Pressure Cuff- $45.00
Mounted Anatomical Tooth Set- $70.00
Jaw Models (typodont)- $400.00
Dental Assisting Instrument Kit- $160.00 (NOTE: **used instruments will not be
permitted for safety purposes)

Clinical Supplies:
During the first week of classes, the proper fit of safety glasses, masks and gloves will be
demonstrated (supplies that do not fit the student appropriately will not be permitted). It is
recommended that students make the following purchases after this demonstration.
1. Safety glasses (3 pairs – clinician and adult/paedo client) - $7.00 ea.
2. Case for safety glasses (3) - $7.00 ea.
3. Masks- $10.00
4. Gloves (Nitrile powder-free) - $20.00
5. Bib Clip- $6.00
6. Cambrian College specific student nametag - $10.00
7. Name Tag - $12.00
8. Supply bin – to be discussed at orientation (please do not purchase prior to)

Individual items to purchase prior to first week of classes:
1. Clinic Shoes - $50.00 - $100.00
 White, clean, closed toes and heel with a non-slip sole with a low heel- shoes and
laces must be in good repair
 Running shoes may be worn only if they meet the above and are inside shoes only
 Clogs, crocs, high heels and sandals are not permitted
 Shoes used in clinical are not to be worn outside of clinical

Lockers: When obtaining your college locker online through myCambrian, it is important to
identify yourself as a Dental Assisting student in order for you to get a locker in our program
area.
Instrument Lock-ups: These lockers are in addition to your school locker and are mandatory
for the storage of your instruments in clinic. Students will be issued a key for this lockup during
the first week of classes. There is no fee for the lock-up; however, re-placement keys will
require a payment of $5.00.
Text books: The textbook list will be posted as soon as it is available. The books required will
be used for all three semesters in the Dental Assisting Program.
