ELECTRICAL Electrical components are prewired on an aluminum strap mounted below the cage. All electrical components and materials shall be U.L. recognized. Ballasts are high power factor, rated for -30°C starting. Medium base porcelain sockets are 4KV rated. Ballasts are wired at the factory for 277 volts unless specified. CUTOFF REFLECTOR An upper aluminum reflector, and a lower cone reflector, shall have a specular Alzak® finish. The reflector system shall provide a 90° cutoff. REFRACTORS Refractors shall be precision molded of borosilicate glass, internally secured to an aluminum reflector cap. Refractors shall be gasketed top and bottom to allow for expansion and contraction. MOUNTING The internal mounting base shall be cast #356 aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of .250". The bollard shall be secured to the base with three stainless steel bolts. The three mounting bolts, six washers and six nuts shall be hot dipped galvanized steel 1/2" x 10" x 2". FINISH Fixture finish shall consist of a five stage pretreatment regimen with a polymer primer sealer, oven dry off, and top coated with a thermoset super TGIC polyester powder coat finish. The finish shall meet the AAMA 605.2 performance specification which includes passing a 3000 hour salt spray test for corrosion resistance. CERTIFICATION The fixture is listed with UL for outdoor, wet location use. UL1598.
