“Innovation” was the buzz word for the
recently conducted National seminar and
Alumni convention, which saw emotional
and happy get togethers, formation of new
connections, sharing the insights gained
by journeys into other disciplines or places,
and lots of knowledge exchange. A perfect
setup for innovation! As far as our industry
is concerned, innovative efforts leading to tasty new products, new packaging
ideas, use of new ingredients, great new marketing campaigns and huge variety
of nutrition are the need of the hour. Three questions are important for innovation;
What the consumer wants? What can be done with the technology? And what is
the market viability? The Indian dairy industry has tremendous scope for growth as
world’s numero uno in dairy field. An ever increasing market demand for milk and
milk products along with abundant supply of raw milk and highly skilled technical
man power make India a strong contender in the world dairy scenario. We are
lucky to be born in a country with rich traditional dairy food heritage and an ever
increasing youth population which is ready to experiment. This provides ample
opportunities for the technocrats to exploit the traditional knowledge, coat it with
innovation and functionality, thus expand the product portfolio.
Innovation in dairy education as well as in jobs is also an important aspect where
our alumni can contribute to a great extent. Being the ambassadors of our alma
mater, dear alumni, you are vital for our existence! Being one of the finest technical
force and strongest alumni network in the food industry in India, let us jointly
exploit these ample opportunities, spice it up with innovation and serve signature
dishes to a food crazy nation!
We promise to reach you regularly with this News Link.
