Warranty coverage includes all necessary parts, labor,
transportation, return shipping, and other items normally
required in maintaining the proposed radios in order to meet
original factory specifications at no cost.

The warranty period will begin either after final system
acceptance, or immediately after purchase of the radio if
purchased after system acceptance. Standard warranty
response times are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday, excluding holidays.

Premium Warranty and Maintenance

Harris offers additional services over and
above what is covered under the standard
equipment warranty. The following Premium
Warranty and Maintenance Services can
be added to each customer’s Maintenance
Agreement based on specific needs:
Infrastructure Emergency On-Site Response
Emergency on-site response is the ability to respond to a
failure 24/7/365. Harris can offer a 30-minute call back
after notification with a two-hour, on-site response time,
depending upon the customer’s location.
Infrastructure Preventive Maintenance
Scheduled preventive maintenance is recommended for
each major component of the system. The local technician
will schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize
or eliminate system downtime and/or disruption.
Infrastructure / Terminal Asset Management
Harris will manage the communications equipment
inventory and provide reporting. Asset management
may also include bar code labels on major components
to track each piece of equipment, including spare parts.
Preferred Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
Depot Repair
Harris’ Technical Assistance Center (TAC) offers toll-free
telephone support available Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. (EST) to all customers at no additional charge.
Harris’ Depot Repair and Return Facility maintains a staff
of certified master technicians and support personnel
who can provided high quality repairs and fast turnaround
times. Expedited two-day turnaround time is available for
infrastructure repairs or five-day turnaround for radio
repairs at an additional cost.
Priority Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
Priority TAC subscribers utilize a toll free number that
recognizes their call as priority and are guaranteed a
two-hour response time if an engineer or technician is
not readily available to answer the call and a one-hour
response time for emergency system off-the-air calls.
Software FX™
Network Monitoring
With this option, our technicians can remotely access the
communications system 24/7/365 to check alarms and
in some cases begin diagnostics and repair. This remote
capability provides assurance that the system is operating
in peak performance.
Software FX provides periodic updates/upgrades for Harris
licensed software included in the designated system
infrastructure and radio products. Software updates
include enhancements, corrections and the ability to
enable licensed features that may be optionally available
in a given release.
Network Operations Center (NOC) Monitoring
Hardware FX™ (Equipment Refresh)
NOC Monitoring is real-time, 24/7/365, network
monitoring of the system and alarms from a remote
location. NOC ensures quick identification of an existing
or potential network issue as well as rapid response
to correct the issue – all resulting in reduced system
downtime and minimal impact on system users.
The Hardware FX program provides customers a refresh
program for their network infrastructure hardware. With
technology changing at a rapid pace there is a need to
stay in step with evolving IT requirements. Hardware FX
provides peace of mind knowing that your radio system
investment has not become obsolete after a few years.
Spare Parts
Harris highly recommends that customers purchase
adequate critical spare parts. Our trained professionals
can assist customers in building a spares inventory which
will allow a field technician to facilitate rapid repair
and restoration.
Test Equipment
Customers who wish to self-maintain or supplement
maintenance with in-house technicians can procure test
equipment. Test equipment is used both during installation
as well as the warranty and maintenance periods. Our
team of qualified technicians can assist customers in
developing a test equipment suite for maintaining both
infrastructure and radios.
