GET MORE VALUE FROM YOUR RATE DATA BASIC MODULE 1/2. ABOUT GPM. Freight forwarding companies and shippers are facing increasing challenges in the administration of their rate agreements with customers and suppliers: freight rates and surcharges are subject to daily fluctuations, which in turn is making rate consultation, preparation of quotations, preliminary costing and accounting control increasingly timeconsuming. With the Global Price Management (GPM) software package, portrix offers freight forwarding companies and shippers a solution that simplifies management of contractual terms and conditions and enables transparent comparison of freight rates, surcharges and additional fees throughout the entire shipping chain - for sea, air and land freight, including pre- and on-carriage. GPM features the optional Carrier & Client Access, Collaborative Sourcing and RFQ & Quotation Management expansion modules which offer solutions for interacting with customers and suppliers over the internet, management of tender procedures and drafting quotations and also offers optional expansion modules for Allocation Management and Reporting. The basic GPM module is the central contract administration for your entire organization: GPM provides management of FCL and LCL sea freight agreements, air freight agreements and FTL and LTL agreements. The basic module can be used to manage both purchase and sale contracts with all freight rates and surcharges. In this, GPM enables administration of both customer-specific and customer group-specific agreements as well as automatic generation of sales agreements from purchase agreements by application of customerspecific mark-ups. By utilizing the Excel Import Wizard, users can quickly and easily import freight rate and surcharge data into GPM from almost any Excel format. During the import, GPM checks the imported data for consistency and offers the user the option to correct manually. Even extensive Excel tables from tradelanes with thousands of freight rates can be imported in just a few minutes. In cases of rate changes, GPM versions all data automatically within the contract term and logs the change history. This way you always know what time period each rate pertains to and which users made which changes to the rate database at what times. 360° RATE MANAGEMENT BASIC MODULE 2/2. GPM also includes extensive options to administer loop and schedule information such as transit times and frequencies and offers flexible structures for maintaining rates and surcharges for hazardous cargo and heavy weight equipment. MASTER DATA ADMINISTRATION. GPM offers efficient administration of freight rates and surcharges and is adjustable to meet your company`s business processes through an extensive and flexible master data administration. For mapping of carrier specific or customer- specific geomodels, GPM provides the option to create geo-object trees, of any number and any depth, parallel to your own geomodel. Shipping rate and surcharge data can be expanded with an unlimited number of freely definable fields for storage of organization-specific information. For querying and comparison of terms and conditions, GPM features the Rate & Route Comparison (RRC) function, a central mask for all queries: RRC finds all possible results for the query parameters (departure and arrival location, date of shipment, customer, shipment details and many other parameters) and prices them completely, including all surcharges and additional fees. For door shipments, GPM automatically associates suitable pre- and on-carriages (both for carrier‘s and merchant‘s haulage alike) in a rule-based manner. The results table prepares the results in a transparent layout and also enables comparison of purchase and sale terms and conditions. The detailed mask prepares the complete calculation with all of its elements. GPM is protected by an extensive and expandable system of permissions and roles. Using system permissions, every possible action in GPM can be assigned a functional role, the use of which can be geographically restricted. GPM‘s multi-modal structure also allows comparison of cross-method shipping alternatives, such as LCL shipments with the total price for an FCL container for the same route, or LCL terms and conditions with corresponding air freight terms and conditions. It is also possible to adjust and expand GPM‘s calculation rules via a programming interface. For customers of Vatosline UG, the integrated Vatosline interface offers the option to automatically import Vatosline subscription data updates into GPM on a daily basis. INTERFACES. GPM can be integrated into modern IT structures through of a generic webservice interface. This means shipping rates can be queried from third-party systems, e.g. from your shipping administration system or your accounting system. GPM also comes with readymade interfaces for connection with popular CRM systems. CARRIER & CLIENT ACCESS. For preparation of freight rate data and query functionality, GPM features an optional module, which can be installed separately from the main system, which securely provides customers and suppliers with data over the internet. ALLOCATION MANAGEMENT. The Allocation Management module maintains Seafreight FCL allocation agreements on tradelane-, contract-, and optionally port-pair level and aggregates forecasts as well as booking data against those, providing an up-to-date view together with historic views on volumes, to be used in operations and strategic procurement departments. The module features a break down of volumes per vessel departure and provides an automatic optimizer and a solution-oriented toolkit for allocation planning, considering not only volumes but also optimization parameters such as secondary carrier options and profit margins per shipment. COLLABORATIVE SOURCING. The Collaborative Sourcing module is used to control purchasing processes directly from GPM. Suppliers enter price quotes for tenders into GPM directly over the internet or via Excel. The Volume Matrix function can be used to compare and subsequently negotiate these quotations in a transparent manner and automatically copy agreed conditions into the GPM database. REPORTING. The reporting module offers multi-dimensional reporting and analysis capabilities on all freight rate- and surcharge-related data objects of GPM and aggregation through all tree-structured master data objects. It allows business knowledgeable users to rapidly explore relevant data and issue unanticipated analysis requests. RFQ & QUOTATION MANAGEMENT. The RFQ & Quotation Management module lets the user create, manage and send quotes to customers directly on the basis of GPM data. Quotations that have been created are automatically copied to the rate database. Furthermore, the reporting module can be used by trained users to assemble complex reports and automatically deliver KPI reports to users from all operational and management levels, either into a dashboard view or via email. 360° RATE MANAGEMENT GET MORE VALUE FROM YOUR RATE DATA Select your request parameters from a fully customizable search pane; store search parameters and default values into filter templates and share your templates with your colleagues.
