EXTERNAL POSTING – PLEASE POST Position Title: Human Resources Generalist - Recruiter Position Type: Contract - 40 hrs/week (ASAP to September 30, 2014) Position Region: Toronto Dated Posted: June 24, 2014 Position #: T78-14 Start Day: ASAP Application Deadline: July 2, 2014 Position Profile – HR Generalist - Recruiter To Support the full recruitment life-cycle and focus on talent strategies required to attract and retain the best talent to support Family Day’s strategic initiatives, primarily in the field of Early Childhood Education. Responsibilities: • Work collaboratively to foster business partner relationships with all managers, supervisors and staff, ensuring the highest quality of HR support is provided to facilitate optimum staffing throughout the organization Coordinate internal/external advertisements to creatively source qualified candidates, ensuring recruitment from a diverse pool of applicants Plan, facilitate, coordinate and implement recruitment and selection activities for all sites, including applicant screening, interviewing, background checks and references Prepare and negotiate offer letters, coordinate orientation and all other preparation required to facilitate new employees joining Family Day. Build and maintain relationships with external agencies/programs (employment outreach placement programs, co-op programs, educational institutions, outplacement programs, etc.) Assist with General HR enquiries. • Perform other duties as required • • • • • Knowledge and Skills • A broad perspective and integrated knowledge of HR management practices and legislative requirements • Recruitment marketing and branding experience • Current knowledge of all relevant employment related legislation • Project management skills • HRIS/ Wellness experience a definite asset Qualifications • Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent education in Human Resources and a CHRP designation or enrollment in CHRM (Certified Human Resources Management) course is required • 2 years of progressive Human Resources recruitment experience • A passion for excellence and commitment to the organization and the people we serve • Flexible, highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities and to maintain focus under pressure • Dynamic team player with excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required • knowledge of the principles of Adult Education/ Learning • Experienced at implementing change and organizational effectiveness initiatives • Highly developed relationship development and leadership skills • Knowledge of employment related legislation and Human Rights is essential Opportunity This is a Contract, full time role as a HR Generalist- Recruiter in Toronto region with Family Day Care Services.
