Developing Competencies for HR Success June 4 – 8, 2016 Looking for strategic HR training? Interested in obtaining professional certification? Back by popular demand, Developing Competencies for HR Success, a four-day training course, will be offered in conjunction with the 2016 IPMA-HR Central Region Training Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. This outstanding training opportunity will be offered for a low additional cost of $175 to conference participants. Class size is limited and pre-registration will be required. Developing Competencies for HR Success is a comprehensive training program that teaches the benefits of understanding human resource competencies, how to apply them and how to integrate that knowledge into your business plan. This training is a great way to elevate yourself as a strategic player within your organization, from managing people issues to managing people-related business issues. Participants learn through discussion, exercises and assessments using the IPMA-HR model as a vehicle for dialogue about changes happening within and around the HR sector. Whether you are a seasoned government HR director or an aspiring HR specialist, this comprehensive leadership course will give you the tools and solutions to meet today’s public sector challenges. This course leads to the IPMA-HR Senior Certified Professional (IPMA-SCP) certification for qualified individuals (see certification requirements and application fee information below). Due to the substantial content in this course, the Developing Competencies for HR Success course will start on the Saturday before the conference and will continue through late afternoon on the last day of the conference, so participants should make travel plans accordingly. Participants who register for the Developing Competencies for HR Success course should expect to be in class all day on Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5. Once the conference starts, participants will be able to attend all the conference general sessions, meals and networking/social activities, but they must complete the Developing Competencies for HR Success course during the conference breakout sessions. Participants also will have the option of taking the IPMA-SCP examination at the conclusion of the conference on Wednesday afternoon. Once participants pass the examination, they simply need to submit their certification application and fee; once the application is approved, they will receive the IPMA-SCP designation!
