Tivoli's Designer series Covelum LED system allow for endless
possibilities to coordinate your design environment with any
particular color scheme. Affordable custom colors without the cost
of RGB DMX equipment. Almost any color can be created in easyto-replace LED PCB modules. Over 48 colors available and counting, these same LED PCB modules can be used to retrofit older low
voltage festoon based incandescent systems.
Coordinated colors to enhance and accentuate design materials
through mixing 6 LEDs per PCB to create vivid illumination. Custom

LED BINNING
LED binning is the most commonly misunderstood aspect of
the LED lamp selection process. During the LED manufacturing process, unique lot numbers assigned to the components
provide some means of traceability. Due to typical variations
during manufacturing, each light emitting diode will possess and
exhibit a unique set of characteristics. Subsequent to testing,
optoelectronics with closely related characteristics are grouped
into specific bins with pre-defined bin identifiers.
LED manufactures normally bin according to three primary
characteristics. The intensity bins segregates components in
accordance with luminous output. Color bins provide separation
for variations in optical wavelength or color temperature. Voltage
bins divide components according to variations of their forward
voltage rating.
Tivoli's binning is done in lots and sorted into bins based on
wavelength ranges that achieve colors. Tivoli uses a range of
2400°K to 3400°K for warm white, 4500°K to 6000°K for white
and 6000°K to 9000°K for cool white. Individual orders are binsorted to within plus or minus 100°K and it is recommended to
purchase 10% replacement stock within that bin lot to ensure
matched color for needed replacements. White LEDs vary
slightly in color temperature from bin to bin.
Tivoli references each bin location number on the packing list
and labels it on each LED product accordingly. During installation, it is very important that like bins are located in close
proximity for color consistency. The overall color will visually
appear consistent even with multiple bins located in surrounding
areas. However, if different bins are located in close proximity
there may be slight color variations visible.

Tivoli offers a number of tube shapes, sizes and flexibilities

Tivoli’s extrusions are recommended for
wet, exterior applications, while providing a
durable yet flexible channel for Tivoli tubing.
The rugged channel can be recessed or cast
into a variety of surfaces such as, concrete,

Different LED or lamp spacings can create
dramatically varied effects. Tighter spacing
is most appropriate for close range viewing
applications. Perspective also alters the effect of
different spacings.
• The first and last light on each strand is
placed one half of the specified lamp spacing
distance from the end of the strand so when
strands are linked, spacing remains uniform
throughout.
