Section II: Dress The prom is a formal occasion. Modest, appropriate prom wear should be worn. Please help us avoid embarrassing moments at the door. 1. Guys: Tuxes, suits, or dress pants with a nice dress shirt and tie. No jeans, no t- shirts. Anyone arriving in jeans or t-shirts will be asked to return home for appropriate attire. 2. Girls: Tasteful formal, semi-formal, or special occasion dresses or nice church dresses or skirts with a nice blouse or sweater a.Dress length must be no higher than 2 inches above the knee when in a normal standing position. If the dress skirt is sheer, the opaque portion of the skirt must be no more than 2 inches above the knee. Slits should be no higher than 2 inches above the knee. Dress length will be checked at the door. Shorter dresses maybe in compliance with the addition of leggings (with approval only). b. No dresses with plunging backs that fall below the bra-line or that has cut outs, mesh or sheer material anywhere below the bra-line will be permitted. No revealing/low-cut necklines, or transparent/bare midriffs will be permitted. Strapless is acceptable as long as the neckline/back requirements are met. c. Sheer material on any portion of the dress that does not meet the dress code will not bring it into compliance. For example, a dress with midriff or back cutouts that are covered by sheer material still do not comply with the dress code and will not be permitted. Shawls also will not bring the dress into compliance. d. Please understand that modesty is the goal; therefore, if a dress meets the length requirement at the door, yet becomes an issue while dancing, i.e. extremely tight dresses that "ride up" while dancing, leggings will be required. Please keep this in mind while shopping for a dress. The dress code will be strictly enforced this year by a chaperone solely in charge of dress code enforcement, and those not adhering to the dress code will be required to return home for appropriate clothing . Any questions or clarifications about the dress code, including specific questions about attire, MUST be sent to fheprom@gmail.com for committee consideration. SECTION III: CONDUCT 1.
