The AE090 Wireless Meter-Bus evaluation kit provides
a demonstration and development for EN13757-4 and
low-power wireless communications. It uses the
AM090 AMIHO compact modem which is the first of a
family of narrow-band multi-channel sub-GHz modems
that feature Freescale’s Kinetis ® family of ARM
Cortex based MCUs. It is designed specifically for
Wireless Meter-Bus, but is also suitable for other ISMband applications.
The kit includes the hardware and software required
for the user to evaluate the use of the AM090 in a
variety of end applications. It also features the AM092
USB stick modem for easy PC/terminal end
applications such as dataloggers.
The AM090 has a 20mW transmission power output, and
has low-operating power using a highly integrated, costeffective single package solution for sub-1 GHz applications
with built-in ARM ® Cortex M0+ CPU. Using the AMIHO
Wireless Meter-Bus software stack, it is driven by an AT
command set. It also features a binary API, allowing unused
resources in the processor to be available for user
applications.

from AMIHO to assist the user in developing their end
application.
