Detailed description of the key educational programs implemented by

Today the most significant master and PhD educational programs realized by

StrAU divisions are:

1) 04.04.01 – Chemistry (Master’s program, 38 people), the main partners and employers: LLC “Tomskneftekhim”; JSC Siberian Chemical Combine (“SKhK”);

OJSC “MMC Norilsk Nickel”. The graduates are broad specialists in chemistry and after 3-5 years of employment they become leading engineers, senior researchers.

2) 04.06.01 – Chemical Sciences (Ph. D. Program, 44 people), the main scientific partners and employers: BIC SB RAS, IGIC RAS; Lyon Institute of

Catalysis (France), Fraunhofer ICT. The graduates are specialists in different fields of chemistry, after 3-5 years of employment they become senior researchers and university lecturers, heads of laboratories.

3) 03.04.02 – Fundamental and Experimental Physics (Master’s program, 40 people), the main educational partners and employers: IPCET SB RAS; RFNC

VNIIEF, “RUSNANO”; “Rosatom”; JINR; JSC Siberian Chemical Combine

(“SKhK”); JSC “FSPC “Altai”. The graduates possess competences in conducting specialized research and solving applied problems; after 3-5 years of employment they become senior researchers, managers of projects and grants.

4) 03.06.01 – Physics and Astronomy (Ph. D. Program, 76 people), the partners participating in appearance of scientific topics, joint preparation of postgraduate students and their employment: ISPMS SB RAS, IPCP RAS, RFNC VNIIEF, RFNC

VNIITF, JSC Siberian Chemical Combine (“SKhK”), Technische Universität Berlin

(Germany). The graduates are specialists in the field of physics and astronomy and after 3-5 years of employment they become senior lecturers, managers of projects and grants, heads of laboratories and production sectors.

5) 15.04.03 – Applied Mechanics (Master’s program, 39 people), the main partners participating in preparation of specialists and their employment: ISPMS

RAS, IKBFU, Georg Simon Ohm Hochschule Nürnberg (Germany), JSC

“Corporation MITT”, OJSC “FSPC “Altai”, RFNC VNIIEF, RFNC VNIITF. The graduates are highly qualified engineers and researches; they become (during 3-5 years) senior researchers, heads of laboratory sectors and leading engineers.

6) 16.04.01 – Technical Physics (Master’s program, 51 people), the main educational partners and employers: IPSET SB RAS, IPCP RAS, JSC “Corporation

MITT”, ESA, JAXA/ISAS, KB Mashinostroyeniya, FCDT “Soyuz”, JSC “Gazprom

Space Systems”. The graduates are engaged in development of high-energy materials and commercial space satellite systems, after 3-5 years of employment they become leading engineers, senior researchers.

7) 01.06.01 – Mathematics and Mechanics (Ph. D. Program, 40 people), scientific partners and employers: IPCP RAS, IPSET SB RAS, FSUE “MCC”, JSC

Siberian Chemical Combine (“SKhK”), KB Mashinostroyeniya. The scope of the graduates’ activities is production and innovation, research, education, business.

After 3-5 years of employment the graduates take the following positions: head of department, laboratory, managers of business projects, and associate professors at universities.

8) 12.04.03 – Photonics and Optical Informatics (Master’s program, 11 people), the main partners and employers: JSC “NIIPP”, SPC “Polus”, IHCE SB

RAS, RISP SB RAS. The graduates are specialists in development and study of photonic devices, nanophotonic devices and materials; after 3-5 years of employment the graduates take the positions of leading engineers, senior constructors, and heads of departments.

Areas of activity : Programs have an aim of training of high-skilled specialists, having knowledge of general principles of building of electrodynamics models of heterogeneous medias and calculation methods of electromagnetic properties of devises based on the heterogeneous medias; knowing the general techniques of software composition for modeling of the synthesis and adhesion of oxide ferromagnetic and devises based on the heterogeneous medias. Areas of professional activity may be researches and works in the area of nature of physical phenomena and objects with the wave or oscillatory nature, methods, and devices based on physical phenomena, wave or oscillatory nature, including:

– size effects and their influence on properties of materials of artificial and natural origin;

– meta - and nanomaterials with programmed properties;

– methods of measuring fundamental properties of materials of artificial and natural origin;

– the interaction of electromagnetic radiation at gigahertz and terahertz ranges with the objects of artificial and natural origin;

– computer model of heterogeneous media and structures;

– sources of ultrawideband radiation with positive entropy and high fractal dimension (deterministic chaos) to obtain the fundamental properties of materials of artificial and natural origin.
