Church planters are partnering with schools in their neighborhoods. We are helping the church plants by collecting school supplies. Through this partnership, church plants are able to build relationships with teachers, students, and the families in their communities. While at Missions GetAway, the girls will stuff the items that they bring into a 2-gallon plastic bag. (Let’s see if we can get more school supplies than the boys!) Please collect and bring any or all of the following items: 5 pocket folders 10-pack of blue pens 10-pack of pencils 2-pack of glue sticks 2-pack of erasers Ruler Pencil Sharpener Composition notebook 2-pack of children’s scissors 3 ring binder (white) Rainbow pack of construction paper (96 count) 1 package of Crayola Crayons (24 count) 1 package of wide-ruled notebook paper (150 pages) 3-hole fabric zipper bag for school supplies (to be placed in a binder) The church’s calling and great commission is to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them. One of the best ways to do this is to raise up church planters who will enhance the church's impact on the Kingdom by planting new churches. In Arkansas, we have church plants who worship in ten different languages (Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Karen, Hmong, Marshallese, Laotian, Sign Language, and English). Churches need to engage and reflect the context and the unique people groups among whom they are planted. Every church planter and church needs a strong partner church(es) for prayer support, resourcing, encouragement and partnership. The ABSC Church Planting Team believes that every church should be a part of church planting, as each church should continually be looking for ways to multiply and reproduce itself and its Kingdom impact. Ways to partner in church planting: Prayer support for a church planter, family and church. Adopt a church planter’s family. Give financially. Meet specific material needs. Send people for leadership support. Do mission trips to work with the church plant and its community. If you would like to learn more about church planting in Arkansas, visit reverbarkansas.com.
