SAINS MENYIASAT DAYA DAN TENAGA Cahaya Light travels in a straight line. The Sun is the main source of light. A shadow is formed when an object (translucent or opaque) block the path of light. An object can cast shadows of different shapes and sizes depending on which side of the object is used to block the path of light: 1. how far the object is from the light source 2. how far the object is from the screen When a parallel light rays fall on a smooth and shiny surface, the light will be reflected as a parallel beam. While, if it fall on a rough surface, the light rays are diffused or scattered in all directions. Mirrors, periscope and kaleidoscope are the examples of uses of reflection of light.
