The LED light fitting FUTURA is innovative since the start of its development, and it is not an imperfect solution trying to exploit the present massive demand for new light sources, but a really professional solution of the employment of LED, supported by necessary certificates (ESČ, ENEC and CB) for sale both in home and foreign markets. The disadvantage of competing LED light fittings intended for industry for protection from spurting water consists mainly in the efforts to incorporate the LED modules into light fittings for standard fluorescent tubes. Such light fitting is not able to remove the generated heat, which results in ineffective exploitation of maximum luminous flex of the LED module, and at the same time, to appreciable shortening of the total service life of the light fitting. FUTURA is a LED light fitting suitable for industrial environment. It has the protection IP66, which suits increased environment temperatures up to 45 °C. In the fitting there is used a new manner of removal of heat from electric components (feeder and LED modules). These light fittings are highly demanded on the exigent EU market, where they find application in hospitals, schools, dining rooms, halls and manufacturing shops with high requirements on clean environment. The light fittings LINEA substitute the fluorescent light fittings of the type series SM ALS, and concerning their optical parameters, they supersede them markedly. The diffusers of these light fittings are made of translucent polycarbonate, specially devised for optimum regulation of luminous flux of installed LED modules. The specification of the light fittings of the type LINEA Line is analogous to that of the light fittings FUTURA and PRIMA LED. The first digit indicates the total number of rows of linear LED modules, and the second digit after the full stop indicates the overall length of a row of LED modules in feet (1.4ft, 1.5ft, 2.4ft, 2.5ft). Owing to operation of the cooler, the temperature of light fitting is maintained below the critical temperature, which otherwise shortens the service life of both LED modules and all other electric components. The situation of the feeder in the area between the wall of plastic base and the reflector also helps to provide for optimum operating conditions, reducing the mutual temperature influence of the feeder and the LED module to minimum. The design of light fitting FUTURA is based on specific requirements of industrial plants, and it considers physical properties of employed materials as well. In compliance with it is also the location of individual electric components, system of mechanical fastening and the principle of mounting the light fitting. The resulting set meets the requirement of resistance to adverse outside factors (penetration of water, dust - protection IP66), guarantees perfect safety of proper operation and maintenance (SELV), provides for maximum exploitation of irradiated luminous flux of the proper light source, and makes effective use of electric power. In practice it means that the light fittings suspended at a height up to 10m provide for uniform, planar and sufficiently intense lighting without unwanted dazzling. For easier orientation in the offer of light fittings FUTURA (Tab. 1), the specification of their dimensions is analogous to specification of standard linear LED modules already used in practice – i.e. by English length unit, the foot (2ft, 4ft and 5ft). When devising a proposal of illumination, it is therefore easy to compare this luminous flux with the flux of linear fluorescent tubes T5 and T8. The specific output of high-performance LED modules used in light fittings FUTURA reaches as much as 128 lm/W. The offer of these light fittings includes the execution with control of dimming by systems DALI and DIMM.
