Prax is I Prep Course
This intensive 24-hour review course is designed to
familiarize you with the structure and content of the
Praxis I Reading, Writing and Math tests before you
take them. The course includes detailed instruction
and hands-on practice in reading comprehension,
multiple-choice test-taking, essay-writing strategies,
grammar and math review. Textbook and t est
preparation materials are include d. Attendees
will meet on four Saturdays, 9 a.m . - 3 p .m.
This course will enhance your ability to :
•
Understand test-taking strategies and time
management when taking Praxis tests.
•
Overcome writer's block; recognize main ideas
in paragraphs and short passages.
•
Outline and organize an effective essay response.
•
Identify high-frequency grammar and
punctuation errors.
•
Understand key mathematical concepts such as
number sense, problem-solving, ratios, equation,
geometry and measurement.

you will receive a confirmation via e-mail to mail
with your check. Minority candidates requesting a
reduction of registration fee will need to agree to
meet the selection criteria below and complete the

All registrants agree to take the Praxis test within
three months of course completion and agree to
release test results of Praxis test to the Minority
Teacher Recruitment Alliance.
