A single VersaTile is composed of 64 small squares
that conform to the field, eliminating bridging. The
224 bi-directional thermal expansion U-joints expand
and contract with changes in temperature. This
eliminates the potential for heaving and/or buckling.
VersaTile minimizes local load concentration. Like the
magic of a bed of nails, the legs distribute the load to
prevent puncture.
Some shockpad systems provide decent shock
absorption, but poor drainage. Tile systems do the
opposite. Selecting a sublayer solution has always
meant making a compromise….until now. FieldTurf
has designed VersaTile, the ultimate solution, which
delivers the perfect mix of drainage and shock
absorption.

Made from recycled turf and thermoelastomers, VersaTile transforms end-of-life
artificial turf fields. 50% of each tile is made from recycled turf and one recycled
turf field can make 2 fields worth of VersaTile material.

Versatile never interferes with water flow, offering maximum horizontal
drainage with a free draining surface area of 82% (compared to only 35% in
competitive products). Testing shows that VersaTile can drain 72 000 mm/hour.
Superior Durability
The VersaTile design allows for proper expansion and superior engineered
supports on the bottom of the tile deliver long-term stability and load bearing
properties to handle 40-ton trucks on your field with no or very low deformation.
