New addition to the Bobcat parts business, the
rubber over tyre tracks kit will give a skid steer
loader the characteristics and performances of a
track loader.
For the customers who occasionally need the main
advantages of a CTL but do not want to invest in a
new machine, here is a quick, easy and economical
solution. It allows to convert a skid steer into a track
loader in a few minutes and vice-versa. Customer will
enjoy low ground disturbance, more pushing force
or better flotation when needed.
This can also be a great opportunity to lead the
customer to the purchase of a real CTL in the near
future.

TIPS
n Safe operation of over tyre tracks
• Tracks should not be used below -30°C or above 50°C.
• Bobcat does not recommend the use of over tyre tracks on snow or ice as machine traction will be adversely
affected. Machine steering, stability and braking accuracy will be affected.
• It is recommended not to use tracks on wet sand because it will build up between the tracks and the tyres,
putting higher loads on the drive train components and track assembly.
• Large foreign objects could block the track assembly, damaging it and/or drive train components. Therefore
the use of tracks in scrap applications is the responsibility of the operator.
• Slopes steeper than 25% should be avoided at all times, as they could compromise machine stability and lead
to detracking.
• Tracks that are tensioned too highly will result in unnecessary loads on the tracks, wheel studs, axles and
engine
n Track lifetime can be extended
• By avoiding driving over curbs and sharp objects.
• By swapping the tracks every 100 hours. Tracks will develop higher wear on the inside (the side towards the
machine frame); regular swapping will increase track lifetime by 10 to 20%.
n Storage
Tracks should be stored in a dry and covered area, away from UV- and sunlight. Preferably they are stored in the
original pallets, flat on the side. Track ends should be sprayed with a zinc coating to prevent corrosion during
storage.
