Cold Shrink Medium Voltage Joints for 1/C, 5 - 15 kv Shielded and Concentric Neutral Power Cables
CSJ 10 & 20 Series cold cable shrink joints are rated 5-15kV and designed for single core,
XLP and EPR extruded dielectric, metallic tape, wire, bare and jacketed concentric neutral
shielded power cables. These joints use silicone rubber insulating materials to provide
excellent high and low temperature performance for long service life. The design includes
thixotropic sealants to ensure maximum protection against moisture ingress. CSJ 10 &
20 series joints feature geometric stress cones and stress control sealant for exceptional
electrical performance and are qualified to the requirements of IEEE-404-2000 cable
accessory standards.

CSJ 10 & 20 series joints cover a cable range from #2 AWG to 1000kcmil. The one piece
joint is designed for quick, easy and cost effective installation. The ripcord of the CSJ
unwinds easily to facilitate quick removal of the core.

End-to-End Wire Harness Solutions
In addition to a standard heat shrink tubing product line, DSG-Canusa also provides solutions
that are designed specifically for the demanding requirements of wire harnesses. From insulation
of ground connections and splices to longitudinal water sealing of cable harnesses, DSG-Canusa
delivers tailor-made products of the highest quality.
Crimped and ultrasonically welded parallel and end splices often require longitudinal water proof
sealing as well as high resistance against thermal, chemical and mechanical influences.
One example of DSG-Canusa’s wire harness product offering is DERAY® Splicemelt, a heat
shrinkable sleeve with an inner thermoplastic adhesive designed specially for these types of splices.
During the shrink process Deray® Splicemelt’s hot melt adhesive flows into all the voids within the
area to be sealed, resulting in a corrosion and waterproof seal. DERAY® Splicemelt can be used in
continuous production, due to its simple and fast installation.
