Your watch, along with keeping time, uses advanced software to help you set and maintain personal target times.. Your new Tech4O Proformer watch is easy to navigate and set. Understanding just how to access, navigate and exit the modes is important to enjoying your new watch. Please read and understand this manual BUTTONS See fig. 1 LIGHT • Turns on electro-luminescent backlight MODE • Selects among the 5 functions • Moves among different items in setting modes • Enters and Exits the setting modes START/LAP • Activates the Chronograph • Records a lap or split when the Chronograph is active • Selects lap records to display RESET/DOWN • Resets the Chronograph • Decreases a setting value fig.1 STOP/UP • Stops the Chronograph • Increases a setting value • Selects Dual Time display Major functions The Proformer Watch features 5 major functions. See fig. 2. PRESS M consecutively to scroll through: Chronograph Chronograph Recall Timer Daily Alarm Home Time 3 Home Time When in Home Time Mode, either Home Time or Dual Time will display, fig. 2 • PRESS S/U to toggle between the two displays 4 Home Time Display: See fig. 3 Top line: day of week and current date Bottom line: current time- hours, minutes, and seconds. Dual Time Display: See fig. 3 Top line: DT icon and current time in hours, minutes and seconds Bottom line: Dual Time in hours, minutes and seconds fig. 3 To Set the Home Time Mode: See fig. 4 When in Home Time Mode, • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to access the Home Time setting menu. The seconds will flash • PRESS S/U or R/D to zero the seconds • PRESS M to confirm fig. 4 • PRESS S/U or R/D to adjust the hour advance the hours to change AM or PM • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to adjust the year • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to adjust the month • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to adjust the day • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to select the day/ month or month/day format • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to select the 12/24 format • PRESS MODE to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to turn the beep ON or OFF HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to return to Home Time Note: If left idle, the Setting Menu will revert to Home Time after one minute Chronograph • PRESS S/U or R/D to adjust minutes • PRESS M to confirm To Set the Dual Time Mode: See fig. 5 When in Home Time Mode, • PRESS S/U to switch to Dual Time • HOLD M for 2 seconds access the Dual Time Settings Menu. Minutes will flash • PRESS S/U or RD to adjust the minutes • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or RD to adjust the hour HOLD M for 2 seconds to return to Dual Time Chronograph This watch features a Chronograph function which records and stores up to a total of 150 laps amongst 50 records. 5 Bottom line: total elapsed time in hours, minutes, seconds, and 1/100 seconds fig. 5 • PRESS M ONCE from the home time display to access the chronograph See fig . 6 fig. 6 Chronograph Mode displays: All Zero Display: Top line: number of remaining laps that the watch will record and current time Bottom line: all zeros- minutes, seconds, and 1/100 seconds 6 Running Display: Top line: current lap number, current lap time Lap Time Display: The lap time display will automatically return to the running display after 12 seconds Top line: display will alternate every 2 seconds between the previous lap number and previous lap time and the previous lap number and the previous setting mode • PRESS S/U or R/D to select Set By Splits TA • PRESS M to confirm Stopped Running Display: Top line: lap number, lap time Bottom line: total time Setting Target Times: This watch provides two different ways to set target times 1. Lap times Enter a target lap time for each lap. The Proformer will calculate the time for that specific lap and the time difference vs your target time. Lap times work best for exercises with consistent time/distance intervals when target times from point A to point B is known. See Pg ? 2. Split Times Enter target times for specific checkpoints. The Proformer will calculate the time difference vs the target time for each split time. Split time targets work best for exercises when you know target arrival times for specific checkpoints. To Set a Target Split Time: See fig. 7 When in the Chronograph Mode, • HOLD M for 2 seconds to access the Target Times lap time difference vs the target time for that lap Bottom line: total elapsed time when the previous lap was recorded fig. 7 • PRESS S/U or R/D to select which checkpoint to measure • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to set hour • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to set minute • PRESS M to confirm 7 • PRESS S/L to select second. • HOLD M for 2 seconds to exit and return to Chronograph Note: If left idle, the Setting Menu will revert to Chronograph Mode after one minute • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/L to select second. • HOLD M for 2 seconds to exit and return to Chronograph Lap Time and Difference: See fig. 8 Establish as a Target Time, an estimate of how long it will take you to complete a lap. When you run the lap, PRESS S/L at the finish and the watch will display the lap time. You can set different times for different laps or select "--" to apply the same time to all laps 8 To Set a Target Lap Time: See fig. 8 When in the Chronograph Mode, • HOLD M for 2 seconds to access the setting mode • PRESS S/U or R/D to select Set By Laps TL • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to select the which lap to measure • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to set hour • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to set minute fig. 8 Note: If left idle, the Setting Menu will revert to Chronograph Mode after one minute To Use the Chronograph Mode: See fig. 9 When in the Chronograph mode, • PRESS S/L to start the chronograph fig. 9 To Delete the current records: • HOLD R/D for 2 seconds when the chronograph is stopped CHRONOGRAPH RECALL MODE: This watch features a Chronograph Recall function which can retrieve and display up to 50 records. Each record set has a time and date stamp Chronograph Recall Display: See fig. 10 • PRESS M TWICE from the home time display to access Chronograph Recall Top Line - the display will alternate every 2 seconds between the time stamp and date stamp Chronograph Recall • PRESS S/L again to record lap time • The display will alternate between the previous lap/split time and the time difference vs. the target time (if entered) • PRESS S/L to record additional lap/split times • PRESS S/U to record you final lap/split time and stop the chronograph TO RESET THE CHRONOGRAPH MODE To Store the current records to Chronograph Recall Mode: • PRESS R/D when the chronograph is stopped fig. 10 9 Bottom Line - Record number • PRESS S/U or R/D to select a record • PRESS S/L to see the details- lap time, total time- of the record • PRESS M to return to records selection To Review Chronograph Records: See fig. 11 In Chronograph Recall Mode: • PRESS S/U or R/D to select a record • PRESS S/L to review the record details • PRESS S/U or R/D to scroll through Time Difference for each lap • Press S/L to alternate the display between time difference and lap/split time • PRESS S/U or R/D to review Minimum, Maximum and Average times • PRESS M to return to records selection 10 To Delete Chronograph Record: See fig. 12 • PRESS M TWICE from the home time display to access Chronograph Recall • PRESS S/U or R/D to select a record • HOLD R/D FOR 2 SECONDS to access the delete record display • PRESS S/U or R/D to select YES or NO • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to confirm. The watch will auto-return to records selection fig. 11 To Delete All Chronograph Records: See fig. 12 • PRESS M TWICE from the home time display to access Chronograph Recall • PRESS S/U or R/D to select a record • HOLD R/D FOR 4 SECONDS to access the Delete All display • PRESS S/U or R/D to select YES or NO • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to confirm. The watch will auto-return to records selection. TIMER Your Proformer watch has an advanced Timer fig. 12 Timer Mode Display: • Press M 3 times from the home time display to access Timer Mode Top Line - Timer indicator, Timer A time Bottom Line - Timer B time Linked Timer TR: This timer consists of up to 25 sets of linked timers that can be independently adjusted for duration and activation. Each timer set has two timers (timer A, timer B). At the expiration of timer A, timer B will start automatically. At the expiration of timer B, the next active set of timers will start. This sequence repeats until there are no more active timers Repeat Timer- CR : This timer consists of one set of linked timers (timer A, timer B) that can be repeated up to 50 times in succession. The two linked timers can be independently adjusted for duration. At the expiration of timer A, timer B will start automatically. At the expiration of timer B, the sequence will repeat itself for the designated number of times Single Timer- CS : This timer consists of one set of linked timers (timer A, timer B) designed for a single use. At the expiration of timer A, timer B will start automatically. At the expiration of timer B the single counter is finished and will not repeat CountUP Timer- CU : This timer consists of one set of linked timers (timer A, timer B). The two timers can be independently adjusted for duration. At the expiration of timer A, timer B will start automatically. At the expiration of timer B, a final timer will count up to a designated time TIMER mode with several different interval timers and counters for various training exercises. 11 To Set a Linked Timer: See fig. 13 With the Timer Display selected, • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS until the current operation mode flashes fig. 13 12 • PRESS S/U or R/D to select TR from the operation modes • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to select the timer set • PRESS M to set the Timer A hour • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer A minute • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer A second • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer B hour • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer B minute • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer B second • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to exit Repeat this sequence to set up to 25 linked timers Note: If left idle, the Setting Menu will revert to Timer Display after one minute To Use a Linked Timer: See fig. 14 There are 25 timer sets within the Linked Timer. Each set must be turned ON/OFF independently. The timer will only use the sets that are turned ON With the Linked Timer selected, • PRESS S/L to start counting. The watch will beep once when finished with each timer and will beep five times when finished with all sets • PRESS S/U anytime to stop counting • With the timer stopped, HOLD R/D FOR • PRESS S/U or R/D to select timer set • PRESS S/L to turn the timer ON/OFF • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to exit To turn ON/OFF All Linked Timers: See fig. 15 With the Timer Display selected, • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS until the current operation mode flashes Turn ON/OFF Timers 2 SECONDS to reload the counter with it's initial value fig. 14 To turn ON/OFF Linked Timers: See fig. 15 With the Timer Display selected, • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS until the current operation mode flashes • PRESS S/U or R/D to select the operation mode with the timer you wish to turn ON/OFF • PRESS M to confirm fig. 15 • PRESS S/U or R/D to select the operation mode with the timers you wish to turn ON/OFF 13 • PRESS M to confirm • HOLD S/L FOR 2 SECONDS to enter the ON/OFF display • PRESS S/U or R/D to select ON/OFF • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to exit 14 To Set Repeat Timer: See fig.16 With the Timer Display selected, • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS until the current operation mode flashes • PRESS S/U or R/D to select CR from operation modes • PRESS M to confirm • PRESS S/U or R/D to select the number of times to repeat • PRESS M to set the Timer A hour • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer A minute • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer A second • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer B hour • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer B minute • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • PRESS M to set the Timer B second • PRESS S/U or R/D to change setting • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to exit fig. 16 Note: If left idle, the Setting Menu will revert to Timer Display after one minute To Use Repeat Timer: See fig.17 You need to set a number of timer repeats. When finished counting, the timer will start anew until all the number of repeats are used. Single Timer will count Timer A and Timer B one time and stop. When it reaches the pre-set time it will again beep 5 times • PRESS S/L to start the CountUP timer • PRESS S/U anytime to stop counting • With the timer stopped, HOLD R/D FOR 2 SECONDS to reload the counter with it's initial value. Daily Alarm and Chime Daily Alarm Display: • PRESS M 4 times from Home Time mode to access Alarm Mode 17 Top line: AL, current time Bottom Line: alarm indicator (1 or 2), alarm time, alarm icon To Set Daily Alarm: See fig. 22 With the Alarm Display selected, • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to exit Note: If left idle, the Setting Menu will revert to Alarm display after one minute To Use Daily Alarm: See fig. 23 The Proformer has two independent daily alarms. fig. 22 18 • PRESS S/U to choose Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 display to turn them ON/OFF. • HOLD M FOR 2 SECONDS to enter Alarm setting Display • PRESS M to set the Minute • PRESS S/U or RD to change the setting • PRESS M to set the Hour • PRESS S/U or R/D to change the setting fig. 23 • PRESS M 4 times from the home time mode to access the Daily Alarm display • PRESS R/D while in their respective displays to turn them ON/OFF. Johnson Outdoors Inc. warrants your Tech4O Watch to be free from defects in materials or workmanship, and to perform accurately, for one (1) year provided it has not been damaged by the causes described in the next paragraph. What is not covered? Normal wear, and damage due to the abrasion, melting, misuse, alteration, and abuse (including any disassembly) are not covered by this warranty. Digital Watches are water resistant, they are not waterproof. Damage resulting from excessive exposure to water, heat or cold is not covered under this warranty. Additionally, the battery is not covered under the warranty. Always have the battery 19 replaced by an authorized repair center or jeweler. Should you do the work yourself, you may void this warranty. How to obtain warranty service or repair of your watch? Should a defect covered by this warranty appear in your watch, call our Consumer Service Department toll-free at 1.800.572.8822 for return authorization and instructions. (You must pay the cost of returning the unit to us). If the product is found to be defective in material or workmanship, we shall, at our option, either repair or replace it without charge, and will pay the cost of return shipment to you. If repairs are required to correct any problem not covered by this warranty, we will contact you for approval to proceed and to charge you for the components repaired or replaced, plus a nominal charge for labor. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES ON YOUR WATCH THAT ARE NOT CONTAINED IN THIS DOCUMENT.
