Understanding our new energy rates
What you need to know about
upcoming rate changes
Southern Pine Electric Power Association
has completed an extensive cost-of-service and
rate study and, as a result, will implement a
new rate structure in June. Each rate class has
been reviewed to ensure the fairest allocation of
costs to all customers.
I hope the information presented on these
pages will help you understand the changes
and the reasons for them.
Many customers will see a decrease in cost
due to this rate change, particularly those
with high-use accounts. These changes will
be reflected in bills beginning June 1.

Policy Change
Southern Pine Electric Power Association’s policy on disconnection has
recently changed. If an account has a prior balance, it will be subject to
disconnection if not paid by the delinquent date, unless payment arrangements have been made. Customers who need to make payment arrangements should call our office immediately before disconnection occurs.
