What is a daily supply charge? This daily charge covers the supply of electricity to your property
and goes towards maintaining the infrastructure such as the poles, distribution wires and
transformers, covers the metering costs such as readings, the handling of faults and outages.
What is a kWh? ‘kWh’ stands for kilowatt hour and is the unit of measurement for your electricity bill.
A 100 watt light bulb will use one kWh if you leave it on for 10 hours. If you replace it with a 20 watt
fluorescent bulb it would take 50 hours to use the same amount of electricity.
