FIRE EXTINGUISHING PANEL
Connection
It is a two-area fire extinguishing panel (total 4 conventional areas). It provides audible and light warning when it
detects an alarm situation while it is scanning the areas. It enables fire to be extinguished by activating
extinguishing output of the area after adjusted time in automatic mode. It controls the areas, external butanes,
sirens and extinguishing outputs; if it detects a fault situation (short circuit or open circuit) it warns with
acoustic and light fault signal.
It is controlled with a microprocessor. Twenty detectors/fire warning buttons can be connected for every area.
Front panel is on its body. Led indicators are grouped as alarm, fault and situation indicators (Table 2). In addition,
there are 2 relay outputs, 2 siren outputs, 2 extinguishing outputs and 5 inputs.

Situation
The panel checks both whether battery is connected and battery voltage is within limits when it is supplied from battery. If
battery is not connected, it lights Battery Fault Led and General Fault Led in 30 seconds and buzzer sounds intermittently.
Battery voltage gets down 21 Volt, Battery Fault Led light flashes; General Fault Led lights continually and buzzer sounds
intermittently.
It indicates that extinguishing delay time is started after second
alarm stage and it shows that at least one extinguishing output
will be active.
t shows that at least one of the extinguishing outputs is active
and therefore, related system is active (it means that gas fired
input is short circuited).
It shows that external Manual Release Button is pressed
(It means that Man/Rel input is short circuited).
Manual Release 2
Manual
Situation
It indicates system in manual mode.
Auto
Situation
It indicates system in automatic mode.
Hold/Abort
Situation
It shows that external hold/abort button is pressed.
Area Faults
The panel checks all areas constantly. In case that it detects any short circuit situation it flashes the area-related led. General
Fault Led lights continually and buzzer sounds intermittently. If a short circuit is detected in any area, fault led in relation to the
area and General Fault Led light continually and buzzer sounds intermittently.
Extinguishing Output Faults
Extinguishing outputs are controlled continually as those areas. If a short or open circuit is detected in any extinguishing
output, the related fault led (Bottle Fault or Bottle 2 Fault) and General Fault Led light continually and buzzer sounds
continually.
NOTE: In case of an alarm situation, it does not activate the output from which a short circuit fault is detected.
Fault
Fault
Siren Faults
In case that an open or short circuit is detected in siren output, Siren Fault and General Fault Led light continually. If an open or
short circuit is detected in siren 2 output, Siren Fault Led flashes; General Fault Led lights continually; buzzer sounds
intermittently.
Explanation
When an alarm is detected, related led lights continually.
When an alarm is detected, related led lights continually.
If a short circuit is detected in any areas, related led flashes;
if an open circuit is detected, related led lights continually.
If an open or short circuit is detected in extinguishing outputs,
related led lights continually.
If there is an open circuit in Man/Rel 1 input,
related led lights continually, if there is a short circuit, it flashes.
If there is an open circuit in any of Hold/Abort,
Auto/Man Gas Fired inputs, related led lights continually.
If there is an open or short circuit in Siren 1 output, led lights
continually. If there is an open or short circuit in Siren 2 output,
led flashes.
NOTE: In case of an alarm situation, it does not activate the output from which a short circuit fault is detected.
External Button Faults
Only open circuit is controlled in all external buttons. If an open circuit is detected in Auto/Manual, Gas Fired, Hold/Abort
buttons, the Button Fault Led, General Fault Led light continually and buzzer sounds intermittently. If an open circuit is
detected in Manual Release Button, Manual/Release Led and General Fault Led light continually; buzzer sounds intermittently.
If an open circuit is detected in Manual Release 2 Button, Man/Rel Fault Led lights intermittently; General Fault Led lights
continually and Buzzer sounds intermittently.
Ground Fault
Network Fault
If network supply is disconnected, panel is supplied from battery and Line Led lights out in 5 seconds and Battery Led lights.
When network supply is connected again, panel turns to network supply again; Line Led lights; Battery Led lights out and
battery starts to be charged.

Panel Installation
System Operation
After panel is mounted on wall, area, siren, etc connections are performed. Terminating resistors are connected on farthest
units as parallel. It is checked whether there is any open circuit or short circuit in areas and other connections. In case of no
problem, the panel is energized. All leds light approximately 5 seconds and then, all of them except Line and Auto Leds light
out. At this stage, delay time of extinguishing outputs should be adjusted (Table 3). Select a mode on the panel at your
selection (automatic or manual). In order to turn off the system, both network and battery power supplies should be
disconnected.
Delay in Extinguishing Output
In order to adjust delay time, press both Reset and Silence buttons simultaneously. In this case, Man/Rel Fault, Hold/Abort
Fault, Auto/Manual Fault, Gas Fired Fault and Manual Leds are used for indication time. When this adjustment is finished, all
the leds get into normal operation. Silence button is used to increase time; Reset button to decrease time. In order to record
after adjustment of time, press 1st stage button; recorded value is lights three times on leds and leds get into normal
operation again. Time value is recorded in permanent memory and even if panel is disconnected, this time value is not lost. In
order to terminate without recording the time value, press Auto/Manual Button.

Automatic Mode
On this mode, Area 1 and 2 compose extinguishing area one. Area 3 and 4 compose extinguishing area 2. Also, Siren 1 and Aux 1 are
related to extinguishing area 1 and Siren 2 and Aux 2 are related to extinguishing area 2.
If an alarm is obtained from an area in extinguishing sectors while system is working in manual mode, panel goes into alarm stage 1
position. On this situation, buzzer sounds continually; area led, general alarm led and 1st stage led light continually; external siren
sounds in 1 second intervals. If another alarm is obtained from that extinguishing sector, panel goes into alarm stage 2 position. On
this situation, in addition to stage 1, 2nd Stage and Gas Imminent Leds light continually; external siren sounds continually. Delay time
is counted according to adjusted extinguishing delay and extinguishing output is activated after that period, and when feedback is
obtained from the unit connected to that output, Gas Fired led lights and Aux output and flasher or another unit connected to that
output is activated. Owing to that feedback obtained in Gas Fired input, it is checked whether gas or water is released into location.
That operation can be followed with a flasher connected to location input (connected to Aux output).
If Hold/Abort button is pushed in any stage, no extinguishing output is activated or extinguishing outputs activated previously are
cancelled.
Automatic/Manual Mode Selection
In order to change panel operation mode, Auto/Manual button on front panel or external Auto/Manual button can be used. Auto and
Manual leds on front panel indicate which system mode is in operation.
TIME (sec.)
Silencing the Panel
In case of any fault or alarm situation, when buzzer or external siren sounds, in order to silence the panel, push Silence Button. Sirens
and buzzer sound off. If there is another fault or alarm situation happens, buzzer and sirens are activated again. Only the authorized
persons who have key can silence panel.
Panel Reset
Before silencing panel, please be sure that all fault and alarm situations are resolved. In order to take panel in starting position, pres
Reset button. All leds light during 5 seconds and buzzer sounds and therefore, led and buzzer test has been performed. After panel is
reset, extinguishing delay time and panel operation mode does not change. Only authorized persons who have key can reset panel.
Establishing an Alarm
Although panel does not detect any alarm from any area, user can take panel into alarm stage 1 or alarm stage 2. That can be made in
two different ways:
1)
TABLE 3
2)
System Operation
Manual mode
While system is in manual mode, it functions as a conventional fire detection panel in four areas. When an alarm is detected,
stage 1 and 2 is not valid and panel does not activate extinguishing outputs. On this mode, if an authorized person detects fire
and pushes one of the Manual Release buttons, necessary extinguishing output is activated after adjusted delay time.
4 8
58
User can push stage 1 button. On that situation; Siren 1 and 2 sounds intermittently; Stage 1 led lights and buzzer
sounds continually. On this situation, extinguishing outputs are not active.
User can push external Manual Release 1 or 2 buttons and as a consequence, panel goes into alarm stage 2. On this
situation, 1st Stage, 2nd Stage, Gas Imminent leds light; in addition, if Manual Release 1 button is pushed, Siren 1
sounds continually and Manual Release 1 led lights. If Manual Release 2 button is pushed, Siren 2 sounds continually
and Manual Release 2 led lights. Panel extinguishing output counts delay time and after that period, related
extinguishing output (BT 1 or BT 2) is activated and if Gas Fired feedback is obtained, necessary Aux output is also
activated.
